This sounds kind of similar to Marvel´s Secret Wars. I guess the difference is that the alternate earths of DC respect their previous continuty unlike Marvel who are telling previous events but with different storylines.

Saga- the previous events that are being told are the same events in the 616 but told how it happened in the alternate universe.

Old comics for the win. Marvel and DC are basically hurling crap at a wall and seeing what sticks. Depressing.

I don't get it, these events are too confusing!

If they want Comics to sell, they should stop making them so expensive.

By "they" I meant publishers as a whole.

So, this is all stories that they don't want to take a chance on, so instead of actually taking risk with their stories they just make it all "what if".

And leave the regular universe with no consequences and just keep retelling the same stories over and over.

Thanks DC and Marvel.

It's sad that you have stooped this low lately.

It's crazy how Marvel and DC are running the same story this Spring.

IDGAF about Convergence or Secret Wars.

I'm interested in the Marvel and DC Universes AFTER these extremely similar events.

But seriously there will be some hidden gems in here I'm sure (or at least hope).

I remember seeing in a video (I don't remember what video) that back in the 80's the old Secret Wars was followed by Crisis on Infinite Earths and everybody thought that it would be the same thing, but when they read it they noticed that it was a completely different story.

I hope this happens again 'cuz this whole "Marvel & DC are doing the same event" thing is driving me nuts .

@Saga: "This sounds kind of similar to Marvel´s Secret Wars."

It's the other way around since Convergence was announced before (Band-aid project revealed by Bleeding Cool).

Several of these sound good. I hope after this is all said and done it leads into another Infinite Crisis.

Gonna be picking up both Secret Wars and Convergence (main titles). I just appreciate that Marvel has been building up to this since three years ago. Either way I'm looking forward to both.
