The CW Have Plans For A Third DC Superhero Show...But Who Could It Focus On?
It seems that with both Arrow doing so well and new kid on the block The Flash premièring to strong ratings, the network will be looking to take advantage of their popularity by bringing another DC Comics character to the small screen.
We know that Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment have plans for a lot of shows based on various DC Comics characters (Supergirl, Teen Titans, and Booster Gold to name just three), but they'll all be screening on different networks to Arrow and The Flash, who are currently making big splashes over on the CW. Well, based on that, it appears the CW are hoping to add a third character to the mix.
In an in-depth interview over at Buzzfeed, CW President Mark Pedowitz explains that although nothing has been solidified yet, discussions are "ongoing" about moving forward with another superhero show. Of course he won't mention any names, but says that the success of the other two shows has really propelled plans forward. Who might it be? Well another spin-off is always a possibility, with the likes of Ray Palmer/The Atom debuting in Arrow this season, and The Flash is sure to introduce a few new characters too. What about a Suicide Squad show to gauge interest in the planned movie? The possibilities are endless, but which character would you like to see join the Emerald Archer and the Scarlet Speedster on the CW?
There's plenty more at the link below (did you know the CW actually approached Liam Neeson to play Ras Al Ghul in Arrow when they heard he'd be up for reprising the role?) so be sure to click the link below to take a look.
