In the pages of Amazing Spider-Man, Ben Reilly is currently taking centre stage as Peter Parker continues to recover from a devastating run-in with the U-Foes. It appears the clone will soon be making the move to Hollywood, with Peter back in costume this April (right in time for the upcoming Amazing Spider-Man #900).
Now, Marvel Comics has announced that legendary artist John Romita Jr. is set to return to the series. He's contributed to many iconic issues, including Amazing Spider-Man #600, the introduction of Hobgoblin in issue #238, and J. Michael Straczynski's acclaimed run on the series in the early 2000s.
A closer look at the teaser image below suggests that another new #1 issue might be coming our way in April, though Marvel Comics does at least include legacy numbering on its titles these days in the midst of these seemingly endless relaunches. As of right now, there's no word on who will be writing the series, though Patrick Gleason has become something of a fan-favourite choice.
We're expecting more to be revealed about future plans for Amazing Spider-Man soon, but Romita Jr. - who can sometimes be a divisive choice of artist among fans - returning is undeniably exciting.
