COMICS: Alex Ross Provides A Stunning Variant For DEATH OF WOLVERINE #1

This September, Wolverine is going to die. He'll return eventually of course (more than likely in time for Hugh Jackman's next big screen appearance as the iconic Marvel character), but it seems fitting that Alex Ross has provided this beautiful variant covering his history in the Marvel Universe...

BEAUTIFUL! Amazing artist! I hope we get something similar to his brown costume (Or maybe a black and yellow) in a future X-Men film! His future DOFP costume was pretty sweet! I understand not wanting the mask but give him an under armor type costume like in DOFP

I wonder if I'll ever see the actual Wolverine on the big screen in my lifetime. Not this watered down, no costume wearing, kiddy version that we've been force-fed. I'm pretty much done with the character until then (at least on film). Death is probably the best option for him at this point since Singer has already killed any semblance of him.

@DoctorCranium
So what you're looking for is more of his cameo in X-Men: First Class.

Now that I think about it, I don't think I can recall Ross ever doing a Logan cover. I could be wrong, but yeah.

Oh, ok. I thought you were saying that the red and black image was his redesign. This makes more sense.

Gusto, do you like Rodolfo Migliari's stuff? He's pretty similar to Ross. Maybe better, actually.

This poster is nice. Its full on retro. Got the short black mask from back when he first appeared in Hulk series, and the classic brown suit. Love it.
