The art sucks ass but I kinda liked Banner's theory on why Mjolnir can't be lifted by anyone.

no respect for one of the greatest comic book artists ever!

walt simonson thor run is quite possibly the greatest run on the mighty thor.

Don't ever put Simonson in the same category as Liefeld!
Simonson goes with Thor like Peanut Butter and Jelly.

One cannot deny Walt Simonson and Thor go together like Jim Lee and the Xmen. I think Marvel screwed up when they started having Banner switch form from one to the other. I will also admit Peter David was a better writer, and they are becoming all disneyed. I really want the Hulk to have a movie with the Leader as the villian with true smashing and not the horrible agents of smash. That is going to be one show that won't last. Marvel/disney is forgetting the awesome history of the Hulk. Also, good to see Thor is his classic togs. Just a sucker for the classics. Also hoping Man of steel does well, DC needs to start competing so all comic fans win and helps Marvel keep doing what they do.... I just think it would be righteous to see a DC vs Marvel movie, but that won't happen in my lifetime but one can hope. Right?

Walt Simonson's unique style is awesome. I just don't think the colorist they stuck him with knows what to do with his art. Sad.

I think this looks really good. I haven't read it at all, but I think Bruce wearing armor makes sense, to keep him safe/from hulking out by accident, and so when he hulks out instead of his armor being destroyed, it shifts to fit Hulk.

marvel72 - 5/27/2013, 3:15 AM
@ jimoakley666

i'm sure i read in this story that the hulk & his team traveled back in time,so this thor as never met the hulk.

so it would be his old costume.

I like the scientific approach to Mjölnir's power. Should use it in the MCU. It was so great when they explained magic as science we don't understand yet and Asgardian "gods" as powerfull aliens. Sad they left that path and rather started using the god term in Avengers and IM3 recently.

Read the Archie Goodwin/Walt Simonson series "Manhunter." That is probably Walt's best work outside of Thor. That, and his "Alien" movie adaptation.
