@Marvel72 - You're so right. I saw this headline and the old skool Marvel fan in me woke the hell up and thought "If this was the '60s, Thor would not last two panels".

@sagemode lol man i do too. I hope thor mops the floor with them. Just to piss off the hulk fans and re-establish that Thor is one the most powerful character in the MCU

@Dahamma: I wouldnt say mop the floor with them, but somehow pulls a cunning victory over those two.

But I dont think people doubt that Thor is powerful, but I just think that people underestimate how powerful Thor REALLY is.

MGS - 7/11/2011, 3:44 PM
I'm sorry but Thor is not winning this fight... no matter how powerful he is... unless he gets help.. likely by the enchanted swords Odin is forcing Stark to forge.
SageMode
SageMode - 7/11/2011, 3:45 PM
Yeah, I dunno wasup with Cap wearing the helmet.

@Neos: Well, remember, theres still the MIGHTY to deal with the WORTHY, so theres that possibility.

@ DukeAcureds

yeah mate,i use to hate comics that hype this mega fight only for it to last a couple of pannels.
MGS
MGS - 7/11/2011, 3:52 PM
Yeah, but I suspect the Mighty are empowered by those swords that will eventually tip the balance of power in the overall fight. Fear had his Worthy, Odin has his Mighty.
SuperSomething616
SuperSomething616 - 7/11/2011, 3:54 PM
@ Grif: Thor aint gonna defeat them...he'll just be delaying them while Tony makes his deal with Odin to forge the mighty...simple...

wtf is cap wearing he looks dumb as shit. from what i see cap should be taken out just as fast as thor if not faster. unless that ridiculous helmet has something to do with it

thats kind of unfair for thor to go up against the heaviest hitter in the marvel universe alone. at least give him beta ray bill

You're drinking Quesada's KoolAid. He gave himself a HIGHER job than Editor-In-Cheif. Get with it!

I'm not saying he or Marvel haven't been successful, nor am I a Marvel-hater. But this guy is a manipulative, greedy, money-hogging asshole. He's hardly had close to the impact on the Marvel films that Feige or Arad have.

And for those who don't think his shits don't stink, I have three words for ya.... ONE MORE DAY!
superpooper
superpooper - 7/11/2011, 6:56 PM
Well, he's not my favorite...but I don't hate him. I like the Hulk though, and I'd I love to see him smash the shit out of Thor. I don't like the idea of anyone being able to beat the Hulk in a fistfight. Even as a kid I thought Thor looked silly. I did love the movie though!

@ELgUaSoN - Nope, he's still one of the biggest decision makers at Marvel. He's a neanderthal because he resembles an uneducated gorilla.

Thor is one of my favorite characters but I dont see him winning this battle. Now if he used his powers to warp them somewhere maybe but he should still be able to hang with them for a while.

Thor can hold his own with any hero out there for quite some time. His power goes beyond just physical might. He was always one of Marvels biggest heavy hitters. With Hulk you got an argument, yeah eventually he will get mad enough and powerful enough to take Thor down but the Thing does not stand a chance.
KalElOdinson
KalElOdinson - 7/11/2011, 8:59 PM
I get it that the Hulk and Thing have these hammers and that should make them stronger than Thor now.... But neither of those hammers are Mjolnir. They're strong savages right now which means Thor can out smart them plus he's way more experienced.

@Intruder,

Okay, listen. No, I'm not a DC fanboy. Anyone who is simply a fanboy of one particular company is foolish. Beyond the Batman family, there are few DC characters I even care about, and I think the DC relaunch is stupid. I'm a comic book reader. The only people who can't see what an idiot Quesada is are those who can't take their mouths of his dick for 5 seconds.

And you’ve been “following” my comments? WTF does that mean? You’re a webstalker or something? I wouldn’t worry about my comments, bub, seeing as though everyone is slamming your ass in the TDKR poster article. And you try and insult me by calling me a DC fanboy, when it's clear to everyone on this site that you go out of your way to insult anything and everything DC related. That makes you worse than a Marvel fanboy. That makes you sad and obbsessed.

It's the sheer brilliance of stories like One More Day, that have made me less and less of a Marvel fan. Yes he found great success as Editor-In-Cheif, but he slaughtered what was once my favorite comic to read, by having Peter Parker sell his marrige to the devil because he thought a superhero having everyday marital problems wasn't realistic.

Intruder, you buy into Quesada's idiotic "Us vs Them" mentality with Marvel vs DC. Thus, I don't need to talk to your immatuire, negative, 14 year old ass. Reply if you want, I couldn't give a shit. Quesada is a big part of the reason I don't read Marvel (his latest decision with Uncanny X-Men was just as super as One More Day). Troll and rant all you want. I couldn't give two shits about PRO-MARVEL fanboys like you.
