“The fight between Kangaroo and Miles was a hard scene to draw; I was told to make Miles move less athletic then Peter, because he's still practicing his superhero skill, and [that’s] not an easy job when it comes of Spider-Man's actions!”




“As you can see, there's a pose of Spidey with a ‘NO’ next to it; yeah, I give judgments on my own drawings—such a psycho! [By the way] that pose was too stupid, don't you think?"




“Here I was trying to underline the difference by the bulky Kangaroo and the tiny Miles—remember he's 12-13 [years old]!




“Look at the pose of Spider-Man on car in the biggest image: he looks not so sure [he’ll] be able to fight with this villain, doesn't he? That was my goal; the first two sketches of [this] pose were too "pro" for a spider-beginner!”
