@ GokuNarutoSS4:

Pay attention to the Japanese??? All they know is school girls, robots and sex. Character development takes a HUGE backseat to those anime.

@luminus
Ever read "Berserk"? Quite possibly the most innovative, intelligent, bad ass epic ever created. The character development there is well beyond school girls and robots. Well beyond the majority of north american comics too. Check it out. http://berserk.wikia.com/wiki/Berserk_Wiki

@ Goku

Really? Twenty minutes of somebody "powering up" while the gang of people waiting to oppose him does nothing qualifies as plot development? Or maybe a entire pre-fight episode about flashbacks of learning how to fight, often involving flashback-within-flashback storytelling qualifies intelligent writing?

I'm not saying American cartoons and comics are perfect, but don't sit there and think that Japanese stuff isn't flawed. I've read and watched both for years, and they about break even, with both having epic standouts and egregious cash-ins.

Goko needs therapy yeeesh. Besides The oldest marvel characters where from the 60s not the 70s. With some exceptions like Nick fury, Cap, Submariner etc.

Also hate to break it to him anime is just a snooty word for animation or cartoon.
