I love how they try to make Captain Marvel more important than she actually is.

Kelly Sue DeConnick is wasted on this book.
She should be writing a Wonder Woman/Batwoman team-up book.

Go Carol!!

Wonder Woman is the real waste of the character, the keep reinventing her instead of working with what they got. Batgirl (Barbara) is the real female hero of DC.

I really enjoy the character and I would like to see her in an Avengers movie. Would be nice to see her in a more powerful role in the Marvel Universe.

Captain Marvel's sales numbers have dipped below 20,000 per month which is the cancellation line for Marvel Comics.

I would not expect her solo titles to last much longer.

I don't like that costume either. It looks like what Captain Marvel would have worn if there was a 1970's live action Captain Marvel show.

If I had to guess, I would say that the new costume is to get her in line for a big screen appearance. The one-piece bathing suit style costume with exposed legs is not likely to play well on film. I think they may be prepping her.

I can't decide what I like less about this series, the art or the costume. That mask is hideous. Carol has frequent bad hair days here it seems. Doing a time travel arc right off the bat was a terrible idea. For many prospective readers, that is the only chance you are going to get to lure them in. Such was lost here.
