This book has been really good so far. Bendis's run was great, but man there is only so much depression one can take from a comic. I felt like going into a corner and crying after every issue (not literally). It's nice to see DD back to normal!

Honestly this is one of Marvels best books currently out right now, after so many years of (great) dark and depressive stories its nice to see a story thats a bit more upbeat. Oh and DC take not this is how you relaunch a book with out having to erase or change a whole characters history. (Rucka's Punisher has been awesome too)

Never seen the artist before, but he has a style very similar to Tim Sale, who is my favorite artist.

I think the book looks great but I am honestly tired of Marvel and DC putting out variants and making the normal cover plain looking so if you want anything with great art on the cover you have to spend more money on the variant.

Poor artwork, the lion's look stupid.

Looks like KevBerg had a hardy bowl of douchebag this morning. The art style is simple but nice and the action seems to flow, unlike most artist who just draw pretty panels with no sense of motion.

It's very nice to see Daredevil getting back to his swashbuckling ways!

I'm with Kevberg. Please explain what I'm missing here. I just don't see anything that special about this art.

A bunch of silhouettes isn't anything masterful or stunning. Hell, I could do that! The splash page with the lions needs work. We need some motion lines to indicate which way Daredevil is moving and where he came from. He looks like he's frozen in mid-air. The inking on the lions is very short on detail. It looks like it was inked by Vince Colletta.

jus got issue 3,

S'good to see a chipper DareDevil, dont get me wrong i dug the dark moody DD that bendis & brubaker did Wondrously.
but this is a nice change of pace.

Having fun DareDevil instead of dark & moody, A more Noir crime drama punisher instead of overly violent/Guns-a-blazing(dont get me wrong, still love MAX),
and Bendis & Maleev are giving MoonKnight their DD Treatment
& its going wonderfully.

Yeah I don't see the big deal with this ongoing series. The writing is mediocre at best, and the artwork is sooo simplistic that it's actually boring which then completely takes me out of the story. Off the pull list it goes.

@bropous - Although I disagree with you about the art, I like it, you are [frick]ing awesome and one of my favorite peeps on here just like Gusto's old ass :)

I agree with kevberg that chin is out of control, looks like it's trying to leap off his face.

kevberg - 9/16/2011, 5:12 AM :Panel 11 of the First Silhouetted page....The long chin is friggin' horrible...did he even try constructing the face before he inked the shot?"

Ummmm. That's his nose. He is hanging upside down.

I do agree however that this artwork is less than "stunning".

Mark Waid's not getting enough credit. He's the reason this title is kicking ass. Rivera will be missed though

Hate to be negative - but the art is really flat and lazy. It could be improved with more detailed inking - but I just would NOT buy this - and DD is my top Marvel character. The 2nd cover is poor too - DD's head would have to be disconnected from his body to match that angle. Basic anatomy guys - FAIL guys.

Interior art is cartoonish and childish, pretty bad.

But that second cover is beautiful.
who's the artist for that?
RexDartEskimoSpy
RexDartEskimoSpy - 9/16/2011, 2:53 PM
I haven't read any of this so far - I'm never buying single issue comics again - but if the writing's just half as good as the art consider me sold on an oversized hardcover collection.

And you guys complaining about the chin? That's his NOSE. He's upside-down.

enjoying the series so far, nice to see an upbeat DD, but i gotta agree with some of the others. for me anyways theres nothing stunning about the art here.

People seem to have a real problem with minimalistic art. It's all taste, folks. None of you are wrong, but none of you are right either. The only real fact here is that he has a job at Marvel and you (Kevberg) don't.
