That art reminded me a little bit of "Scott Pilgrim". So, this is one of those " What If's?" Where Gwen is alive and now is the drummer of a band and MJ is the vocalist? Could this mean we'll probably see some girl-on-girl action in the future? I hope so... and I'm not so amazed of Gwen being Spider-Woman, I kinda expected it. But, what about Peter?

From the looks of little things in the art, it seems more like Peter was The Lizard, being killed in the fight between him and Gwen. Notice his picture in black and white on the billboard, the scene of Gwen holding him in her arms in the "Previously In Spider-woman" bit, and the newspaper headline "Stacy Stalks Spider-Killer"

@dethpillow
Making the characters female won't add maturity, or completeness.
It will add breasts.

Very little else.

Character are what they are, mate. People capable of writing fully realized, complete characters can do that regardless of something petty like gender. And when they can't? They can't. Its a shame, but I'm afraid the funny-book business attracts way more of the latter folk than it does the former.
