I'm pretty sure Iron Man's suit is not made of iron, but that's not saying Stark can't come up with some none magnetic material or a shield of some sort.

As said before, Iron Man modified his armor YEARS AGO with a demagnetizing agent that makes him immune to magnetism and EMP so thats not gonna work

@Spiderneil Batman beat the Hulk when they meet back in the 80's.

Anyway if Ironman is immune to magentism that takes a huge edge away from magneto but doesn't make it a easy fight for either guy.

I mean..it would be more Believable if it was a device (Not a Spay) that Tony built inside his armor to counter block Magnetic Waves.

That would be far more Believable than just Tony Spraying the top layer of his armor with a "special" anti magnetism spray. Magneto would still stop him before he gets anywhere close to him.

Tony would be in his long underwear by the time he gets THAT close to Magneto.

Yeah I'm sure for the purposes of the fight they will even things out a bit..but in that pic Mags does seem to be about to rip the hell out of the armor. It will prob just be a very quick skirmish anyway, maybe Stark will count of Mags not wanting to kill him and take a few injuries in order to land a solid punch or something crap like that. Still wouldn't Mags have the edge hand to hand anyway?

Stark's armor is not protected against emp's. It just has back-ups that bring the armor back online much quicker. When Thor first came back and spanked him, his armor even counted down an "incoming emp" from Thor before the lightning struck. It took him a few moments to bring his armor back online but, by that time, Thor already had his hands on him. Between Iron Man's tech and Magneto's experience and power level, this should be an interesting scrap.

Magneto must win, it's bad for business to have him lose. He must be kept at a level to be able to challenge an entire team, not someone who will lose against one guy surrounded by (some form of) metal and dispersing energy.
Plus, Magneto may be as smart or smarter than stark based on what he has done in the past. He can't make a better suit of iron man armor then Stark but I'm pretty sure he is a better strategist at least.

The way I see it, Iron would have to spray himself up (Whatever) and have Demagnetizer Device buit inside and charge in with the speed of sound for a One Punch Knockout/Kill.

He would have to start about a city block away from Magneto and charge in with supersonic speed and lay Magneto out. He would realistically get ONE SHOT at this cus as powerful as Magneto is that spray and device would NOT last long.

It should be a quick Battle one way or another.

It was the Extremis armor that Thor walked through to pimp slap Stark. The bleeding edge armor probably has made some adjustments for guys like Magneto. Just knowing that Mags was out there would be enough for me to build an armor just for his magnetic ass.

0SageMode0 is correct. That panel is from an Avengers West Coast issue if I remember correctly. It seems the artist and/or writer of this AvX issue didn't do their research.

How about Magneto hurls a few hundred tons of metal at near light speeds through Stark. Would that work?

And even if Stark makes the metal in his armor non-magnetic, can't Magneto change the properties of that metal?

It may be the difference between magnetic "resistant" and magnetic "proof". Magneto may be able to overwhelm whatever defenses Iron Man has. It's not like Stark knows the upper limits of Magneto's power.
