Why in the world didn't they use the Hulk for this match-up??? Instead we get Hulk vs Emma Frost??? REALLY???!!!

As much as I like Ben, he would have a tough time with just plain Peter, but adding Cains powers? I'm afraid Ben's going to go down fairly hard. Damn, that's 2 X-Men in a row I voted for now. Well, at least I'm rooted in reality, unlike some of these X-Men fans.
plasticman
plasticman - 1/12/2012, 6:24 AM
Why do we see a member of the Fantastic Four called in to take on Jugger-Colossus? I agree, Hulk should be the one fight this batttle and Emma Frost should be duking it out with Scarlett Witch.

@plasticman: Thing has been a part of the New Avengers lately, and the Fantastic Four have been on the Avengers roster for decades. I don't believe Scarlet Witch is back completely just yet. They should have put Spider Woman against Emma Frost, and thrown the Hulk against Super Colossus.

Side note: I'm just waiting for the brutality that comes from the match up of Dr. Strange, Namor and Vision against some poor X Men.

In the poster of Beast vs Luke Cage there is a picture of Scarlet Witch and Vision.

Namor is on the X-Men's side.

Yeah, Thing will only win based on tactics, tactics, tactics, just like with the Hulk. I love Ben Grimm, but no way he can win just a slug out with Juggernaut/Colossus. Just plain Colossus he's got a good chance, but not this.

Okay... now, Collosus had a disease and died, right? How did he come back from that? Is everyone just going to rise again?

please writers... never kill any character again!!!! It don't mean anything anymore!!!!

Colossus wins easy.

Marvel really likes to overpower their characters and make them fight each other. lol
hoodedjester
hoodedjester - 1/12/2012, 7:46 AM
interesting match. I think Hulk would have been a better fit to fight Collosus.

Anyone have a guess as to which character they decide to kill off at the end of this series?

@crowpirate1

Dude where have you been? Big C died in the early 90's. He came back in the early 2000's in Astonishing X-Men by (and don't quote me cause I can't remember but I think it was the) Breakworlders. He was atleast dead for a while and was actually a very compelling resurrection. He was actually done right. It's all these other "deaths" that ruined it. "Oh he wasn't really dead we just hyped the FÜCK out of it anyways so now he's back in a month" bullshît.

@ThornStockton Was debating on even responding to your little insignificant rant but in looking through the site, I see that this is a common theme for you on everyone's articles. The information below is for the actual comic series. Don't really care who colored and inked a teaser image. Just be thankful that comicbookMOVIE.com covers comics.

If Hulk was against this Colossus, he would tell him to go be unstoppable in New Jersey after throwing him in that direction.

I think they are just putting out random promo photos right now. Namor vs. Thing has been confirmed to be one of the first two battles in Book 1. Not sure how this would fit in the grand scheme of things.

@ Darkhaven- Thank you, that just shows you how out of the loop I am currently. My question is, who's side with Logan take? He's an X-Men and an Avenger. Whose side will he choose?

This isn't even fair, like thor vs storm. Pete takes ben hands down. Even without the power of the juggernaut pete wins. With juggs power he rips things head off then takes a beer piss in his skull. Eewww.

Regular Colossus vs. Thing would be a fair fight but Colossus with the Crimson Bands of Cyttorak is not even close to being fair.

Does anyone know if the Juggernaut's powers are where they once were when he was as strong as the Hulk or are they down graded? Either way, a downgraded Juggernaut obliterates the Thing.
Ryguy88
Ryguy88 - 1/12/2012, 1:44 PM
Why hasn't a fully powered Hulk and a fully powered Juggernaut ever faught without outside intervention? That dispute NEEDS to be settled!
Darkhaven
Darkhaven - 1/12/2012, 1:44 PM
@plasticman & AlcoholicA: this is my problem with this whole Avengers vs X Men thing: everyone is everywhere now, but it's beginning to look like this is going to be nothing but X Men pandering. Wolverine, Storm and Beast are all Avengers now, but they're fighting on the X Men side. And Namor has been associated with the Avengers for ages...but he's staying on the X Men side just because he joined them recently? Kind of ridiculous. Ah well, can't be worse than the Marvel vs DC comics from years back.
