@mawilli4 One preview of one comic doesn't mean he messed up the character. It's 2 issues in, you can't judge an entire character by 1.25 issues, chill out lol

@DJROCK you're right I overreacted a bit. lol this just doesn't feel like the GotG. To me it doesn't feel like he's got the characters, Star-Lord makes the smart-ass remarks. Rocket is serious, so the irony makes him funny not "blam. murdered you. but I digress.

This is the series that got me buying comics again. My previous purchase as a regular comics reader was in 1989.

Took me a minute to figure out why they kept cutting to a potted twig. Then it hit me, hilarious.

I liked the first issue. I think this series will be great. I'm just not a fan of Iron Man being in it though.

The racoon sounds like Deadpool. Not really improving my opinion of him.

I want the movie costumes to look like this, except StarLord. He should have his classic look (or close), especially the helmet.

Loved the GOTG #0.1 & 1 issue. Bendis has another hit on his hands.

@StarkAnthony the first concept art they released showed Star Lord in his original costume. Mask/Helmet and all.

Rocket Raccoon is usually the master-strategist of the team.. I agree that they're missing the point with him here.
It feels to me like more Bendis stuff where there is generic action with the heroes basically having a casual phone conversation on top of it. There's no danger in the action. No stakes.

I want to like it.. really. I just think Bendis is better on something like Daredevil.

oh that's right, it did. I am actually worried about Gamora though - I know some fans are really into her "classic" costume, where she's basically naked, but that just looks ridiculous and impractical. I want to like her because she's a badass, not because she's almost naked.

her costume in the concept art looked pretty decent though

Screw you Bendis, Captain Britain is awesome!

But seriously, this looks sweet. The 0.1 issue was brilliant and #1 was pretty great too.

captain britain by alan moore & alan davis was brilliant during the 80s,he should have his own monthly title again.

neil gaimen could write it along with a new marvelman book as well.

Looks great. Quill's new outfit is starting to grow on me. Rocket essence is there, despite his visual change. The Groot part is the cherry on top of the cake.
