COMICS: Marvel NOW! Teases SNIKT From Paul Cornell And Alan Davis

Marvel have released another one word teaser for one of their upcoming NOW! titles. Paul Cornell (returning to Marvel after a couple of years at DC) and Alan Davis will be bringing us the new adventures of...well, it may not actually be Wolverine..

"Snikt" - the noise Wolverine's claws make when he unsheathes them - is a word most closely associated with Logan sure, but considering he already has his own title coming in January from Frank Cho, the thinking is that thsi might be a solo series for either X-23 or Daken. Of course it's not like Marvel have never flooded the market with Wolverine before either so it could very easily be another title fore the Mutant berserker. What do you guys think/hope for?

I hope it's a comic book series for Daken.

Daken doesn't make the "snikt" sound cause his claws are bone, and the last X23 comic failed even though I thought it was decent, especially the Ms. Sinister arc. You I'm guessing Wolves again. He had two solo series simultaneously not that long ago.

I would be psyched if this was for x-23. I think that Cornell would be able to really bring some grit back to her character like she was in x-force.

They are not taking any chances, Morbius and Defenders maybe but that's it. Everything else is X or A related. I want Iron Fist, Black Panther, Blade or Ghost rider, something that we wont see coming. Marvel need an Animal Man.

They just cancelled X-Men but they will probably just replace it with a new number 1

It cant be X-23 because she is in an ongoing set in a different dimension.

i wonder if people know how Amazing and well written Daken Dark Wolverine was? I just recently started reading X-23, i enjoy her character but i def think her being in The Avengers Academy was a dumb move she and Gambit couldve had a series.Love Gambits new series btw...Snikt huh who knows Wolverine has a million damn titles anyway

I don't care who it is, I imagine I'll pick it up anyway. I've been so impressed with the Marvel Now titles that have been released so far with the exception of Uncanny Avengers which has only been okay... hopefully it will pick up.

Probably not going to be Daken as he's probably the dead charred body that Wolverine is seen holding in Uncanny X-Force during the foreshadow.

I am hoping that in addition to the X-Men and Avengers, Wolverine (and perhaps Iron Man as well) will join the Defenders, the FF, The Guardians of the Galaxy and some new team which will just be multiple variations of Iron Man and Wolverine.

Oh and maybe they could have an ongoing storyline in all the other "Marvel Now" books as well.

That should cover it....

Looks like they're doing everything they can to keep Wolverine from donning that yellow suit.

I had about a five year gap in my comics reading, so I have only been exposed to X-23 and Daken recently. X-23 hasn't done much for me yet, but the character doesn't piss me off. However, in the last UXF arc, I've really come to enjoy Daken. He's not a villain, but he's definitely not a hero. Interesting character.
