On the GOTG cover, Star Lord needs his mask. Other wise it's ok.
darkspark

So Gamora is no longer slutty. Groot has arc reactors wedged in him for no reason. Starlord has an ugly costume and no helmet and we get Iron Man space edition. Ughh they are taking away what made the guardians great and repackaging them before the movie comes out so they appeal to a larger demographic.
PartyHard
PartyHard - 11/19/2012, 5:38 AM
They removed all distinguishing and interesting features from Star Lord and Gamora, and replaced them with bland and generic mass effect suits.

Not impressed at all.

Yeah, Star Lord needs a mask. Art is good, designs are horrible.

@darkspark and @PartyHard agreed

Starlord's helmet has a retractable facemask, Marvel should've just went with the concept art from the movie....stupid McNiven

Marvel's plan of attack: pair a group of 6-7 heroes from various teams, including either or both Iron Man and Wolverine. Have them jumping in 'attack mode' at some indiscernible enemy. Sell. As grif would say, 'Marvel is very tired'.

What the hell happened to Gamora's hair? Starlord' hair is lighter to but the difference isn't as big, I mean i thought that was Jarella and even Mantis before i realized it was Gamora.

I kinda love the Iron Man Armor. Much better than the black one!

Does anyone else think Bendis will turn Drax into the Hulk, ignoring all continuity?

The changes to GOTG are unnecessary and ugly not to mention stupid. Groot has glowing arc-reactors everywhere? He must stand out in the forest then. Starlord with a generic "Mass Effect" suit w/o mask. They must want his actor to get FaceTime. Gamora is too cute and doesn't look warrior like at all with the same "Mass Effect" suit.

Please don't change character right before the movie, If you do that then there was no point in choosing to make a movie with them anyway.

BTW Ironman is NOT needed on this team.

Bendis's tactic....Put f*#*ing arc reactors on everyone, wouldn't that be cool???
Jesus god I hate this SH!T. Guardians was probably one of the best runs Marvel has ever had and they are letting Bendis walk into it and sh!t all over everything DnA created and its sickening. I don't understand Gamora looking like a goddamn 16 year old, in a space suit, with a GUN. Shes a space war goddess wtf is she doing with a gun?? I understand updating some things, but thats a complete wipe of the character. You want to cover her up a bit, fine, but to put her in some lame bland space suit is f$*%ing rediculous. I don't understand Marvel's thinking when how popular guardians is why you would turn around and change everything about it? They have been doing really good up until now and now why they would just sh!t all over everything is freakin puzzling to me. This whole thing literally makes me sick to my stomach. Its probably one of my favorite stories and they're just crapping all over it. DISGUSTING!
Rant over.

I'm curious in what direction they are gonna take uncanny x-force without logan and wade. and when exactly did t'challa forgive namor for destroying wakanda? and why mr. fantastic and beast? Beast is fine on the secret avengers team, but he just doesn't seem to fit in my ideal for my favorite avengers team. mr. fantastic just never struck me as an avenger. he seems more like an avengers consultant than to be an actual member. like nemesis for the x-men. useful guy and smart as hell, but not reeeeeally an x-man ya know.

Is Iron Man going to be the next Wolverine around here? I love Iron Man just as much as anyone, but he seems to have his fingers in just about every pot these days. I would buy GOTG even more with out this crossover selling ploy. Let it sell on it's own.

Now, my exception is if this leads us into a connection in the cinematic Marvel Universe.

so now he's [frick]ed up Star-Lord and Gamora.. dammit. she's not a green human. make her look right for Christ's sake, give Star-Lord his [frick]ing mask.

as for Iron Man, if he's incorporated well, I'll buy it, if not, [frick] him.

marvel72 - 11/19/2012, 7:55 AM
i reckon that'll be the costumes we see in the guardians of the galaxy movie, look how covered up gamora is very family friendly.

new avengers looks like it could be interesting especially with hickman writing it.

looking forward to uncanny x-force,of course i'm not expecting it being as great remender's run but i'm gonna give it a chance.

Wow,those new outfits on The Guardians is pure garbage, goofy hi-tech suits? Weak.
Anyone who thinks this is better than the previous look is bat-shit crazy.

I dont mind a few tweaks & alterations but this change is a step in the wrong direction.
If movie version follows these designs..BIG PROBLEM.

I agree.. DnA's cosmic books were fantastic and now it looks like they're essentially erasing it from continuity..
You know what Bendis said about space comix.? Not kidding, he said the best parts of Star Wars were when they had downtime during space travel. In other words, expect to see epic space conversations in his GOTG book. [frick] this.

I am usually pretty positive and open to change... But I am not feeling these outfits... Star-lord looks very different. Not just the hair color but his face as well. Drax was so cool when he put on the revamped version of his old suit. I remember him being very stupid in the old books though... In the more recent stories he is a very cool character.. Gamorra should have black hair and I thought she was taller than Star-Lord. Iron Man looks cool if not a little out of place.

I already expressed my hate for bendis on GOTG. He's basically trying to turn them into space avengers, which is retarded. By doing that, GOTG loses what made it good in the first place. Sigh..whatever, I'll give the first issue a try, but with low expectations. New Avengers is a must for me already, anything hickman writes, I'm reading. Still unsure of sam's uncanny x force, but it looks cool.

Oh yeah, Waiting to see starlords helmet as well, although steve mcniven confirmed we wont see much of the helmet because he wants to show peters expressions. Sucks, peter looks plain without it.

"steve mcniven confirmed we wont see much of the helmet because he wants to show peters expressions."

That SUCKS its the same reason peter lost his mask in every movie. Im tired of this facetime excuse.
