COMICS: Marvel Tease CIVIL WAR #1 For Summer 2015

Mark Millar and Steve McNiven's Civil War is widely considered the greatest Marvel event of all-time, and a new teaser - featuring Captain America and Iron Man battling over Spider-Man - released today reveals that Civil War #1 is coming next year. Wait, what?!

Since the release of Civil War in 2006, none of Marvel's events have come close to topping the one which saw Captain America and Iron Man go to war over the implementation of the Superhero Registration Act. Today, they revealed have released a new teaser accompanied solely by "Civil War #1 - Summer 2015". As you can see, Captain America, Iron Man and Spider-Man are all wearing their 2006 era costumes, so this doesn't appear to be a Civil War II. Are they going to re-release the series? Let a new creative team retell it? Attempt to cash in with a string of terrible What If? stories by Z-List writers and artists? We'll have to wait and see! What do you guys think?

Maybe telegraphing their future movie plans? Some are speculating that the entirety of Phase 3 will be a Civil War type thing with each film telling a part of the story. Avengers 3 would then culminate in the Avengers coming back to fight the main threat, Thanos.

This story-line was and still is a big load of bullshit, I'm fine with heroes duking it out over their ideological beliefs conflicting, but this was so blatantly one sides and moronic I fail to see how the [frick] could anyone want any more of it weather it be in comics or movies!

Tony is established as a massive manipulator who all but stages every damn thing so the Civil War happens, Cap becomes an asshole who's arguing and fighting just to win and not much else and it started the big load of ass events Marvel keeps shitting on us.

Why the hell does everyone get a boner for this big load of bullshit and the thought of it being adapted to anywhere?!

SMH rebooting comic book storylines now? That is whack. Just like Hollywood, no creativity left so they reboot. Lazy, weak, lame.

Hopefully it is a re-release and the MCU is leading up to a Civil War Trilogy.

Always liked the the idea of the Civil War event but not so much the execution.

Why would I ever side with Ironman? He was such a tool.

Sorry, but I still think this was the better event of 2006. Civil War got so much press though, this flew under the greater audience radar. And maybe that's why it's better.
