Uncanny X-Men might just be one of the most anticipated titles to come out of "Marvel NOW!", especially with Cyclops' new role in the Marvel Universe as a mutant revolutionary leading a team of renegade X-Men. We've seen a couple of previews of the first couple of issues, but the Brian Michael Bendis penned series is still shrouded in a lot of secrecy, despite the Uncanny team's introduction in the pages of All-New X-Men. Anyway, below you can find Gabrielle Dell'Otto's fantastic variant cover for issue #1 courtesy of our friends over at Comic Book Resources.

The true flagship book of the X-Men returns. In the wake of the Phoenix, the world has changed and is torn on exactly what Cyclops and his team of X-Men are – visionary revolutionaries or dangerous terrorists? Whatever the truth, Cyclops, Emma Frost, Magneto, and Magik are out in the world gathering up new mutants and redefining the name UNCANNY X-MEN.

I don't know what to say. I don't love it or hate it. I do like Magneto's helmet though.

Ewww to the new character's costumes. It looks like all of them have armor on but yet whats the use of armor if you have openings everywhere. That's just disgusting. Why can't women have good costumes in comics?

I like the resemblance between the new helmet of Magneto's and his Ultimate's version...far better! More sinister... As for the female costumes... It seems that comicbook artists love to push in a little 'erotica' for the 'boys'. Look at all the heat and dust over the change of costume for Wonderfully Woman. ?..

@Teo,

I'm afraid I have to bash it. Really don't like what Marvel has done to the X-Men. When they launch the "Uncanny Thor" title I'll truly be out.
