Slott's the best thing to happen to Spidey in a LONG LONG time! In the end though we know, Flash ends up in the suit again cause he's joing the GoTG!

Ramos is bad?! Stegman is great don't get me wrong. But how can you not like Ramos?

I'm really hoping the symbiote somehow manages to access Peter's "spirit" and realize it's old host it's who it think it is and possibly co-op to bring Peter back. I mean we've already seen Peter emerging from the debris that crushed him...but that's just a thought.

I've come to realise that Superior Spider-Man is pretty good and readable when it's not Dan Slott writing him, but even so, [frick] this incarnation of the character. [frick] him hard!

Its interesting to watch when people hate something how many logical hurdles they will jump to make their opinion seem like fact.

It's like the Special Interest Olympics.

Some people don't quite get style, when it comes to art. These people think that photographs are the best art form.

Ramos's style is becoming more refined, which really complements it. His initial style was a lot more expressive, which really was in sync with a lot of the movements going on culturally at the time. In respect to comics, it did become somewhat dated, but as he is human his art is ever evolving.

I was wondering what the symbiote would think after touching Ock. We need A LOT more struggle between the symbiote and Ock in order to make this work though other than "tastes wrong, want to go home".

On a side note, I like how the symbiote always manifests itself like a mirror of it's host's personality. In this case, it's pretty apparent it's Doc Ock.

Definitely like the "Tastes Wrong". We seem to forget the Symbiote is feeding on it's host.

Actually, I've really been enjoying this Superior thing. This is a perfect Spider-Man kind of story. Seriously, how great was Peter Parker with four extra arms back in the day? Superior Spidey arc is as fun a divergence as the symbiotic hitching a ride from the Secret Wars; Spidey fighting the Lizard AND Stegron at the same time; Rocket Racer; and ANYTHING with Spider Slayer in the title!
This is good goods people . . . ENJOY!

This has been my favorite ongoing book for some time now. And this new 18 issues/year schedule rocks. Keep em coming, Slott!

(Also cheering for Flash's new legs because it improves his chances of wearing the Spider-Man costume someday)

Ramos artwork is indeed ugly, but it's the style and the energy that make it worthwhile. It's wild and frenetic, just the way a Spidey story should be paced.

I'm really intrigued by what Parker will decide to keep from Otto's tenure as Spidey. SOME of Doc Oks support mechanisms are kinda cool (thinking MOSTLY about those spider-bots).

Calling it now, symbiote is going to pull out Peter's consciousness and we are going to have a Peter Venom vs Oct Spidey.

Just like his death was a worthy 50th anniversary event right? Oh wait, he died in the decrepit body of a villain and no one even noticed. Huh.

I must agree with some. Superior Spider-Man is a good run. I bet the symbiote helps kickstart Peter's memory a bit more. The Carnage symboite fixed Kasady's Lobotmy. I miss Pete. With The Marvel Knight's and TASM 700.1-4, it is really good to read about Pete adventures. I think the best part will be when Pete comes back and sees what Otto has done for him. MJ knows "Pete" is not Pete, that's a plus, but Otto has made peter a bit more resonsibly as Peter. Peter would have rushed to save anyone, and save more on the way. Otto, not so much, as we have seen with MJ. I want to see how that pans out. And Parker Inds! Wait till he sees that. He won't need any cover stories to make Spidy gear. I bet he gets some of the Horizon "brains" to work for him. Alchemax will have a good deal to with story arcs with Spidy 2099 in the mix. Then we have the Jackel with Kane's DNA! Crap so many things coming up for all the Spider-Men. Miles will fit into the mix as well. They can't print them fast enough for me.

@monkeyballs- That's basically one of the many reasons I gave up reading Spider-Man. Marvel would rather just repeat the past than move the character forward. Proving they don't get Spider-Man.

Look good. One flash get the Symbiote back wouldn't the Symbiote tell flash who spider-man really is like it did to Eddie Brock o well.

TASM 2 is almost here, and like many said earlier, we'll have OG Peter back in time to sell tickets. And Humberto Ramos is a great artist, like any other, he has his stuff he soars on and then he has stuff that looks like he's just in it for a paycheck.
Lostcause
Lostcause - 12/12/2013, 12:44 PM
That Venom looks like the Venom from Spider-Girl ("Mayday" Parker). When the Symboite takes over Pete and goes after Spider-Girl not long after she get Spidy powers. And Doesn't OctoVenom mean heal vs heel in one of the above panals? See what they are doing? The symboite is going to help Peter, even if Otto or the symboite don't want to.

I've been enjoying Superior Spider-man, but Agent Venom and Scarlet Spider are just as interesting too.
