Miles is back in action with a new status quo and a brand new outlook. But his new lease on life is short lived, as one of Peter Parker’s greatest foes returns to the fold, ready to leave New York City a smoldering ruin! S.H.I.E.L.D. is no more – and it’s up to Miles to take down one of the most dangerous foes in the entire Ultimate Universe! And Miles will come face to face with Peter Parker’s legacy in a way you’ve never seen before - with a last page so shocking that EVERYONE will be talking! “Spider-Man’s greatest enemy will haunt Miles Morales,” says editor Mark Paniccia, “and in more ways than one. This is going to break all kinds of molds. Readers are going to flip.”

“The reaction to Miles is one of the great joys of my life and career. I am so excited to join David [Marquez] and Justin [Ponsor] for the next and the new,” says series writer Brian Michael Bendis. “I am going to have to unplug my computer when this issue ships…” As Miles new journey begins, he’ll go head-to-head with one of the greatest Spidey villains in history, not to mention a last page that will have USM fans screaming! You do not want to miss one of the biggest issues of the year when MILES MORALES: ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN #1 explodes into comic shops this May!

I love the covers.
The interiors are cool, too.
I've never read any of these but I do like the costume Miles uses.

Who's that fat kid punching in the face on that last page?
Looks like Snake Plissken without the eye-patch.

0-:-/ The last couple of years of Spider-Man have kinda lost me. I'm on an old school Spider-Man kick now. Less pandering to the kids.

Why isn't mark waid writing more spider man related books? Just wondering...

Looks like he's gotten older. I think Donald Glover would made a great Miles Morales but he's already 30.

@TheBlackNerd

Maybe in Amazing Spider-Man 4 they kill off Peter (Since by then we'll have Venom and the Sinister Six) Ultimate Spider-Man style and have a teaser for Miles donning the suit.

@TheBlackNerd

what about Mike Jordan? he's like 27 and the internet still wants him to play a teenage white character. the filmmakers would never cast him in that role so the best chance he's got is playing Miles Morales.

@JamesMan

Whoa?! You might actually be onto something. I wouldn't mind seeing that at all. Then again I don't know how the general public would perceive the film though. I'd be all for it though. But people are going to want to see Peter return just as bad as we did when it had originally happened. lol Still the thought of it ever coming to surface is astonishing.

@TheF4HypeMusheen

You know what? If Michael B. Jordan wasn't attached to the F4 film I'd be all down for it. However I think they should just jump to him being a college kid. I wouldn't be able to see MBJ as a 15-17 year old teen. lol But great thought though, I agree the guy would've had the charm to pull it off.

Sigh, wasn't the Ultimate Universe supposed to go the way of the Marvel Now, 2099, and Heroes Reborn Universes? The top people at Marvel are so arrogant that they refuse to let it die because it was supposed to be the next big thing, and it fumbled.

This nig is still around? Anything to push the envelope... and of course there is some interracial shit... I do not want to admit any allegiance to either company, but Marvel is the biggest sell-out...

I've read somewhere that Andrew Garfield's contract with Sony ends with Amazing Spider-Man 3.

I really hope Peter dies in ASM3 so we can have a new trilogy with Miles Morales.

That looks like Norman Osborne but with a beard in the Ultimate universe he was killed every few months but then it would turn out he never died.

comic looks like its came a long way

MightyZeus - 4/12/2014, 3:08 AM
I like the art.

I think it's bizarre that people actually want Peter to die in TASM 4 or even TASM 3 just for this character to make an appearance. No need to kill off Peter Parker, just a have a film focus on Miles Morales and another film focus on Peter.

CrimsonFlash - 4/12/2014, 5:21 AM
Marvel should just go ahead and make this into a netflix tv show. That would be awesome. The avengers can say they don't want him because he's just a kid and its too dangeorus.

Or next Sony movie reboot for spiderman they better use this character. Too awesome not to.

I'd say if the spiderman rights never go to marvel studios, down the line have Peter get killed off and then start a miles morales movie series
