I kinda makes sense after the whole Dead storyline. I mean he can actually die now. It didn't make him sane, it didn't deminish his skills, it just made him look normal again. I mean i hope they give him back hishealing factor just not as strong as it was but I actually like this.

Wait... So how did he get his face back? This is sad, they're only 55 issues in and they had to give him a pretty face (Bad writing much?). I only read the arc where he tries to die by having the Hulk kill him, that was good, but what they [frick] happened since I left that series?! LOL!

I have been reading this. And im ok with it!! Hulk turned him into [frick]ing tooth paste and in a month he was back to normal. He was over powered and not being his normal smart ass self. I think this will bring the smart ass back out. And he will get his healing factor back. Give it till the end of the year

@Mass, of course it won't. 'If anything can go wrong' it'll happen to Wade Wilson. Thankfully this is a story arch they can creatively backtrack on without doing anything super crazy if it doesn't work.

Its almost obvious that Marvel will back its way out of this shitstorm of stupidity by saying Wade had an episodic mental break with reality. Hopefully this wont be a long standing homoginization at the hands of Marvel to make him more palatable/marketable.

Just to clarify, I'm not saying this will be a bad story. It could be a very good story. You have to keep throwing crazy crap at the characters. I'm just saying it won't last.

I would think it would be exceptionally difficult to go back to being killable after years of being unkillable. A guy like DP is so accustomed to going in balls-to-the-wall, etc., not worrying about it--and now suddenly he has to revert to being a glass cannon like the rest of us. No, I don't think he'd last very long. His instincts alone will be working against him.

HA. They are totally doing this because of the movie. Ryan Reynolds won't go through the movie with the mask on the whole time, and when it's off there is no way he is going to look all burned and cut up. Marvel is doing this in preparation for the film.

They did this before, it wont last. This story arc is very similar to one they already did where he lost his healing factor and because of that looked all handsome, much like Ryan Reynolds. If I wasn't lazy I would go look up the story.

I agree with everyone here that this is a short lived stunt to get him into the public eye.

Think about this...
Deadpool goes all out and dies in a couple of issues. Once dead he goes to hell were he gets scarred again from torture by the devil. The devil finally realized that Wade enjoys the torture and it annoys him to the point where he is banned from hell similar to Lobo. Just a thought.

Im good with it, as long as hes still a smart ass half crazed assasin and he he stills wears the classic suit. Thats all i really care about. Aside from that, the fact that he cant heal should make some interesting fights. Hes used getting limbs cut off, shot, stabbed, hell even his heads been cut off. It was kinda getting old NOT seeing him die after going through so much shit. NICE CHANGE SO FAR!

i think it makes perfect sense. it doesnt take anything away from him. thyre adding another dimension to his story before the whole "he cant die, and he wants to die" thing gets old. its been wearing on me personally for alittle while and im interested in seeing just exactly where this goes
