While I think that Inhumans are closer than he did, I am going to use the line up that @PantherSophomore presented in his article here:

I feel that Marvel could capitalize huge here if they continue to choose which movies tie into the Cosmic Infinity story line, and if they choose to build a street level story line that The Defenders could join after their introduction series. Some fans are getting sick of every MCU movie tying into the Thanos - Infinity Stones thread. They have a few opportunities to easily deviate from that organically, and here is how I hope they do it.

This is the first opportunity they have to tell a street level story that doesn't need to tie into the Cosmic Avengers level of the MCU. Yes, having a Pym Ant-Man join the Avengers would have been awesome, but they have seemed to eliminated that possibility by having Scott Lang don the suit. I think that's just fine though, since Ant-Man could be a focal point of what I like to refer to as the New Avengers story line. Lang would fit in much better with the new crew than the original Avengers.

This one could easily tie in loosely to the Cosmic Thanos Imperative. Skull was last seen being transported into another realm. We now know that these realms are merely distant parts of the galaxy connected by a rainbow bridge. If Thanos were scanning for Infinity Stone energy, he would detect Skull's transport and could have stumbled upon him similar to how he came across Loki. If Avengers Age of Ultron confirms that Loki's Sceptre did contain the Mind Stone, then Thanos could send Red Skull to retreive it. I also hope that this is building to a Masters of Evil Appearance, but more on that later.

I hope this one takes the street level direction, as I always liked Strange more as a New Avenger than I think he would fit in with the original Avengers (until they need to). This movie should introduce us to other dimensions, and how to access and unleash their energies. One of these would be the Soul Dimension, and I would love if the only connection this movie had to the Infinity Stones was having the stinger be Adam Warlock opening his eyes as he feels Strange's presence.

I want this movie to be independent of all story lines. Wakanda and Panther need to have an entire movie to explore the depth of their culture and technology. Thor did it, and I think Panther can have an even bigger pay off by showing why T'Challa carries himself with so much weight. The only tie in to any other movie should be in the stinger, where Wakanda detects the formation of something that won't show it's head for another few movies.

This is where I may lose some of you. I personally hope that Adam Warlock is Peter Quill's father. The second time I watched GOTG I thought of Meranda talking about Adam when Peter told his story of standing up for a frog. We've had the Collector, so I'm hoping we can also see the High Evolutionary. As a champion of life, he is the counter balance to Thanos and has been planting seeds in hopes of defending against any actions Thanos may take. Adam Warlock being the pinnacle of his creations, one of Adam's incarnations was made to create Quill. Strange awakening Adam in his current stasis would begin his pursuit of finding Peter. I wouldn't mind if that was the emotional crux of this movie, the choice between your familiar "family" and the unknown future as Yondu is also in pursuit of Peter. Since Thanos will clearly succeed, we can have the stinger of this movie be Thanos standing triumphant over a razed Xandar with the first gem in his hand. (And a Nova Prime helmet containing the World Mind flying off to find a suitable warrior.)

This is one place I slightly disagreed with @PanthaSophmore, but I'll back up my decision. This movie should be focussed on the first acts of the Masters of Evil. Panther would be introduced by trying to warn the Avengers. The combined power of Loki, Skull, Abomination, The Mandarin, and Justin Hammer's drones, the Avengers will need back up. In the form of New Avengers and Black Panther. This is going to be Whedon's greatest juggling challenge as far as cast size, but I haven't seen him disappoint yet. The New Avengers can now consist of an introduced Defenders (Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Jessica Jones, and Daredevil), Dr. Strange, War Machine, Winter Soldier and Ant-Man. That sounds like a good group to me, especially since it closely mirrors parts of Bendis' run. The Avengers and New Avengers combine to protect the Mind Stone, showing the stinger being an angry Thanos finding out that he has to retreive the stone personally.

This will tie in directly after Avengers, similar as Thor: The Dark World after last Avengers. With Loki managing the Masters of Evil in pursuit of the Mind Stone before Thanos comes knocking and asking for it back, and coming up short. His plan to distract Thor and the warriors of Asgard while he steals the Tesseract (the most valuable stone since it can transport you to the others) for Thanos is to unleash Surtur. This backfires on Loki when Surtur initiates Ragnarok and destroys Asgard. Heimdall could perhaps give his life to transport Asgard to Earth before the final blow of Surtur.

I'm also going to exchange the order of this and Ms Marvel. Only because I want to introduce the Inhumans and Terrigen Mists (although I hope they find a technology to extract Infinity Stone Energies the same way Von Strucker seems to have done.) It could even be from the Soul Gem as Adam Warlock is building an army to defend Earth and the two stones there (when Adam is present). The stinger could have an astronaut by the name of Danvers going up to the dark side of the moon to visit this new nation and being invited to join their ranks...

This would be the first time that Marvel would have two movies back to back that directly relate to each other. This movie would be her personal story, and It would link the Cosmic story line to the Street level story line as she takes her amazing powers and wants to use it to save every day civilians.

With this line up so far, I can't imagine fatigue having set in yet, and Marvel will be making more than enough money to pull this masterpiece off. I think that this should be a trilogy in a year experience. Film all three together. This will be expensive, but not as impossible as it might seem. By having the different layers of both the Cosmic and Street Level stories, you can have distint units that include the cast and directors, with Whedon overlooking and calling for some of his key scenes. This would cut down on filming time and would become the Year of Marvel. With part one releasing in Spring, Thanos continues his quest for the Stones and Gauntlet, and this first movie would focus on how each of our teams decides to react to it and unite. The second part would release in summer, and would be Thanos' waves of Scouts and forces sent to clear the way for him. This would include the Masters of Evil Again, each attacking different areas being defended by different sub-groups of Avengers, New Avengers, Inhumans, and Guardians (including Nova). Each sub group would be given to a different director who has proven capable through past MCU movies. This act would end with each of his minions being defeated and the stinger being him promising Lady Death his greatest offering to her. The Third movie would drop in the winter and be Thanos' personal invasion. I honestly don't know how they would handle this, Thanos could get the Stones and they could have some personal sacrifices save the day (seems to be a trend in Marvel movies) or the united forces of these teams could withstand his onslaught. Whichever direction they go, it should have major changes for Chapter 2 of the MCU. This gives the chance to change the roster in a huge way if contract negotiations aren't going well without dropping the baton.

These are just my own fanboy wishes, but let me know what you think! I love discussing this stuff.

Make Mine Marvel!

I think Avengers 3 will actually be Kang and yes maybe Masters of Evil. I very much doubt that Cap3 will be like what you wrote because the Russos established a very different tone and having Red Skull working for an alien conqueror doesn't fit with it.

i think avengers 3 should be the Kree, i mainly think that because i watched earth's mightiest heroes the other day when the kree almost destroy the sun. it would be a great way to introduce/expand (if they have already been introduced) on mar vell and carol danvers. it would also be a great way to pull the avengers into space so they know a little more about what's going on up there.

@kinghulk They might do that with Avengers 4 instead.

why not do it in avengers 3 after all i does nothing but help set up the cosmic side further which in turn helps set up the battle against thanos. i cant see them waiting any longer than avengers 4 for thanos personally.

I stopped after fans getting sick of every movie tying into infinity stones... IM3 did not tie in at all.... Neither did Winter Soldier. Guardians did (they are a HUGE PART of the Infinity canon) and Thor did.

@kinghulk Because of the argument we've been having about The Infinity Gauntlet. If I'm right than it would be more logical do Kang and Masters of Evil first.

kang to me seems like something you would save when you want to soft reset the universe. like days of future past did except actually change some of the actors.

Kang would be pretty cool, especially since you could easily tie that into the Time Stone. I just feel that there are a lot of surviving Marvel villains still out there, and I would love to see them try to work together.

How is Doctor Strange a "street level" hero?

Nice editorial. Your Infinity movie sounds epic beyond proportions. I personally dont consider Dr. Strange a streel level hero but ok.

You're all right in considering Strange more than a street level hero, but I think he would fit in better with that group of Avengers/Defenders than the current line up of Avengers. Just my own opinion, but I love hearing the other perspectives.

Yea gotta say, Doc Strizzy is not even close to street level in my mind.

But otherwise I agree with a lot of your ideas. And I have a feeling that even if you get a lot of this wrong, It'll be something along these lines.

great job man.

You misspelled "Captain". It's C-A-P-T-A-I-N, not M-S like you spelled it. It's ok though, spelling sucks sometimes. It should read "Captain Marvel" when you're finished.

Haha! @Aquaman, I just took the images that @PanthaSophomore created for his article. She definitely would have a Captain title if she were an astronaut visiting the Inhumans on the moon.
