Hello ladies, gents and, lonely old men. Us nerds, geeks and, perv… I mean respecting people know a good amount about marvel’s villains who get butt hurt every 5th issue. However what about the main stream audience who go out and watch these movies. All they are learning is about the hero, but what about the villain? Think back to your childhood day when you are watching Saturday morning cartoons and, you ask your parents why is he trying to hurt superman. As a child it’s a common question but the parents say oh he is just the bad guy or he didn’t have a mommy or whatever.  Today people need a little bit more than he is just the bad guy. This brings me to the point why can the villains of these movies get their own movie to tell their story. Now we all know that some villains don’t have an origin story that is big enough that it can’t be covered in the hero’s origin movie also. So I put together a list of villains that have an origin story worthy and capable for its own movie in no particular order.

Yes first on the list is Galactus the world eater himself. Kind of like me at taco bell. Anyway I truly think the origin of Galactus would make out to be a great action drama of a being on a beautiful world in a universe nearing its end. This would follow the adventure of a pre Galactus being Galan to attempt to save his world. It makes me think a little bit of the movies the core and Armageddon in a way just on a more cosmic scale. This movie would be a great way to introduce characters like Eternity, Infinity, Death and, Oblivion or even the Watchers and the Silver Surfer. In my opinion this has the potential to be a great movie about one of marvel universe’s most destructive forces to ever exist.

Multi butt chin… I mean Thanos the mad titan himself. An origin story movie should not be far away from consideration if not already with the Thanos rising story line out there. Out of all the villains on my list, I truly believe that Thanos is the only one born evil. I’m with everybody when I say who wouldn’t want to know why and how Thanos gets a hard on for Death herself. Jokes aside the story of the mad titan is a great tale of tragedy and betrayal with a sick love story. In a way I guess you can say it is to show what someone will do for love. I think the public would sink their teeth in to this. In my opinion this is a lot like the movies we see today but with a science fiction psycho killer twist. This one is my personal favorite.

The master of magnetism has one of the most emotional origins. I think with Magneto being torn from his family during the holocaust and going thru and surviving the concentration camp and the growth of his power and hatred of human will make this can be a very powerful story on film. It will be a story of a man journey for vengeance. We know of the plans for the Magneto origins movie but now after the popularity for this character has grown so much the movie needs to be done so much more carefully not to go away for the comics on this one.

This is the big kahuna of baddies Dr. Doom oooh his Doomfullness. Doom is by far one of the most dominant villains in marvel. Doom has gone up against everybody I think he even tried to go at Galactus once. Hell this guy has his own country; not going to lie, I’m a lil jealous. Back on the subject, the story of Victor Von Doom is a dark story of loss, tragedy, vengeance, jealousy and, triumph. With Victor taking over Latveria go to the states and meeting his arch rival and learning magic, it make a great recipe for the masses to enjoy at the price of admission.

HAIL HYDRA!!!!! Ok got that out of my system now the Red Skull origin is somewhat simple in the creation of a psycho Nazi killer. That’s why I think his story should include the formation of Hydra to really complete his origin. Thou the Red Skull character is a complex character going thru emotional turmoil as a youth to rise above and become a leader and form one of the most dominant and dangerous superpower in the world, this could turn out to be an interesting origin movie.

Now, the Kingpin is bit of a wild card in this due to the fact that not much is known about his coming to be. Although with what is known is his struggle growing up in hell’s kitchen and Fisk taking over all the crime at a young age. I think of this story like The Godfather and Good Fellas with a noir feel to it. This is a coming of age story in low class New York City much like The Godfather and Good Fellas. The story of Wilson Fisk is a wild card but I think this has the potential to be a great story.

That’s my list of villains that I think deserve the origin movie treatment. This is my first article so please be gentle. Click the like button and show the love. And if you don’t like it, the voices in my head told me to do it. And please if you wish to discuss my choices or have any advice for future articles please don’t hesitate to message me.

This is a really interesting article, great work. The MCU really has not had a solidly developed villain apart from Loki. I actually want Marvel to have more development with there villains. Don't hate me, but that's what i just think.

Magneto had his origin fleshed out through the half of First Class which was a brilliant film in my opinion. I would love to see an origin film on Doom or maybe even have more of him in the F4 reboot. Galactus being featured in a Silver Surfer film would be awesome.

The MCU could use an in depth villain. That is the one thing they are lacking in their movies. A Thanos Rising would really good, as would the Galactus origin. Those two are the most out of this world cosmic villains that will makr the best movies IMO.
