SPOILERS: Get Your First Look At 'Darkseid's Daughter In DIVERGENCE #1

The spectre of Darkseid's daughter has hung over the DC Comics universe since Justice League #1 back in 2011, and she'll finally be unveiled in the Divergence Free Comic Book day issue. Her appearance was teased previously, but get your first proper look at Grail here...

This is how Grail's debut was teased in this week's Justice League #40, and if that's all you'd like to see from/know about the character then stop reading now because we have some major SPOILERS from DC's FCBD offering, Divergence, immediately below.

Justice League #40 (2015) - Page 23

So, it turns out Grail is not only the daughter of Darkseid, but also of Amazonian warrior Myrina. As you can see from the scans below, this new character was born at the same time, in the same place Hippolyta was brining the future Wonder Woman into the world. Something tells me those two will cross paths at some point.

I know Orion has been in the New 52 but has Kalibak been in the New 52?

Hopefully this Darkseid arc is better than the JL New 52 origin. What a terrible origin. No doubt the weakest story of Johns's Justice League run. Hopefully this arc will be better.

Also Fabok's art FTW. Dude's the best artist in comic at this moment.

Just noticed she has Aquaman's trident, Wonder Woman's lasso, Batman's belt, and I believe both the Green Lantern's ring and Flash's ring.

It's not that big of a deal for Darkseid to have kids, he already has Kalibak and Orion. Still I am always open for less sausage in the New Gods Pantheon

Wasn't this the same idea Marvel used with Thane in the 'Infinity' crossover just like, two years ago?

@Levitikuz

Kalibak was a part of the Batman: Robin Rises storyline. He fought with the bat-family whilst Batman fought Darkseid on Apokalips, and then fought the newly superpowered Robin. But I'm unsure whether Snyder's books are now canon with new 52 given the plot of Endgame.

Marvel and DC need to do a sequel to the Amalgam Universe thingy someday. I always wanted to merge the annoying sons of Wolverine and Batman to create the annoying son of Dark Claw - Dakian.

And now we can even have a legit fusioned kid of Thanoseid - Graine. "My child. My heir. My Graine."

Looks like she's got Superman's cape, Batman's utility belt, Wonder Woman's lasso, Aquaman's trident, Green Lantern's ring, Power Ring's ring (?).
Not going to read this but it's a cool picture.

Can we create characters that aren't related to existing characters, or who aren't taking over the "role" of existing characters?

I was excited about what was happening with Marvel's universe ending event, until I learned that [spoiler] was actually behind it. I was hoping for a brand new, unattached villain.

If I was writing for Marvel, I would expand the mythology, not add to its incestuous nature.

It's great that Guardians of the Galaxy has such an impact on the DC. Finally they can have their own version of Gamora.

@LEVITIKUZ i dont have the comic in front of me at the moment, but I believe that panel was drawn by Jim Lee not Fabok. Look at the credits again. It Says Jim Lee did page 16-22 I think if I remember right.

So Thanos has a daughter, Darkseid has a daughter...the only way this cycle can be complete is if Apocalypse has a daughter.

Let me get this straight - you're complaining that this is a rip on Thanos's daughter. Thanos who himself is a rip off of Darkseid, and you are upset that maybe elements have bled over? Stay classy Marvel Trolls....

They brought her up at the beginning of New 52, Darkseid's universal destruction spree was all to find his daughter NOW, NOW we finally get something? Either they PLANNED to miserably fail with their story lines or a reboot AFTER a reboot was in the cards.
