Marvel were once again the top publisher when it comes to market share, but you might just be surprised at who had the best-selling comic book of 2012! The graphic novel chart is also dominated by pretty much one series. Hit the jump for details!

Thanks to Bleeding Cool, we now know which comic books and graphic novels were the highest-selling of last year. It certainly appears as if the release of Marvel's The Avengers may have given Avengers Vs. X-Men a boost in sales, but it was the ultimately The Walking Dead (which is also a hit AMC television series) which took the top spot. The only other non-Avengers series on the list is Amazing Spider-Man #700; hardly a surprise considering the hype surrounding the landmark issue.
