JThe Hellblazer is set to return for his most dangerous - not to mention personal - adventurer yet in Constantine: City of Demons, and we have the first trailer, Blu-ray box art and a synopsis for you guys right here.

Produced by Warner Bros. Animation, Blue Ribbon Content and DC Entertainment, the action-packed movie will be distributed by Warner Bros. Home Entertainment starting October 9, 2018 on Ultra HD Blu-ray Combo Pack, Blu-ray Combo Pack and Digital.

A decade after a tragic mistake, family man Chas and occult detective John Constantine set out to cure Chas’s daughter Trish from a mysterious supernatural coma. With the help of the mysterious Nightmare Nurse, the influential Queen of Angels, and brutal Aztec God Mictlantecuhtli, the pair just might have a chance at outsmarting the demon Beroul to save Trish’s soul. In a world of shadows and dark magic, not everything is what it seems, and there’s always a price to pay. The path to redemption is never easy, and if Constantine is to succeed, he must navigate through the dark urban underbelly of Los Angeles, outwit the most cunning spawns of hell, and come face to face with arch-nemesis Nergal – all while battling his own inner demons!

Correct me if I am wrong but wasn't this a web-series on CW Seed that was trying to fill in the void of Constantine's adventures before he started to hang out with the Legends in S3? Did they grabbed all the web-isodes and compiled them into a movie?

Anyway if that is the case then cool, it's smart.

@NinnesMBC - I think that was the initial idea, but it actually doesn't have (at least in the episodes I watched) any connection to the shows.

@JoeInTheBox - that's really weird. Maybe they're trying to capitalize on the most popular Arrowverse character that doesn't have a show?

Also, I'm not out of line with that, right? Is there an arroverse character w/o a headliner that people care more about? I've fallen so out of the loop since last falls crossover, I've only finished LOT and Flash.

@ftf530 - No you're right. I think because they have the material completed, and he'll be on LoT this season, why not just release the rest of it.

I can't think of anyone else currently on that could carry a show, cause if that's the case, they would be getting a show already on CW or the DC streaming service.

I watched the web series, if this ‘movie’ is just that compiled together, isn’t it still only like a half hour long or something? Plus it ends on a cliffhanger.

@FishyZombie - Well they are editing the episodes together, but it also includes the remaining 7 episodes that havent been released yet and extra scenes, so it will be a complete story, they did the same thing with Vixen

@Armageddon26 - Yeah they edited both seasons together, with an extra 20 minutes to bridge the seasons, those had two different, but connected stories, while Constantine will be 1 full story, so it should be better

@dracula - It felt like the end of the first act of a movie, so that would make sense - it ended with the point where he agrees to help that freaky looking demon monster at his indoor death pool in that mansion

@dracula - @Armageddon26 - Is Freedom Fighters any good? I was pretty completist about the arrowverse until the crossover last fall, and then got super lazy about pretty much everything.

Only caught up on LoT and Flash.

@ftf530 - Its ok, but because of the way it and Crisis On Earth X were each developed, there are a shit load of continuity errors, like he meets earth 1, Green Arrow and Flash, when he didnt meet them until the crossover

@Armageddon26 - I thought the first season of vixen was cool, but didn't really care with the second one.

My guess is that it's probably just product overload. There's so much now that it's disheartening to try keeping up whilst still getting a chance to live my own life / watch literally anything else.

I can't believe I'm saying this, cause I never thought I would, but I think the TV end has hit the saturation point.

(it's still statistically impossible on the movie side though).

@ftf530 - I dont see how it can be canon, there are so many things that dont line up
1.There is an earth x Flash, no reverse flash
2.Ray meets both Barry and Oliver, as well as a few other earth 1 characters.
3.Earth X Oliver is not the leader of the Nazis.
There are a few others. From what ive heard, Freedom Fighters was written before they decided to do Crisis On Earth x, and the writers jut couldnt agree on certain things

That kinda just drains my interest entirely, because like, a huge part of what's kept me finishing season after season of arrowverse (as each show but LoT becomes more and more unsufferable) was the continuity / canon.

Makes me super apathetic towards watching something that they made and then immediately contradicted haha

Constantine is such a rich character, DC needs to bring that side of their universe to the big screen again and give us Zatanna, Spectre, and Dr Fate too!
