CONSTANTINE Will End Season at Episode Thirteen

Better than being cancelled! It looks as if Constantine will be ending this season fairly soon!

Deadline has just confirmed NBC's decision to halt Constantine's first season at 13 episodes. Whether it will be cancelled or not has yet to be confirmed. Although, NBC has shown the show some care recently. They have had marathons off SyFy although they kept it on it's timeslot. Some murmers around fan communities believe that NBC will move Constantine over to SyFy (Another Viacom channel) as Constantine did well in it's SyFy marathon. Whether this news is good or bad has yet to be determined. We will know in the coming weeks whether Constantine will be renewed, cancelled, or moved to SyFy. In the meantime, get as many friends as possible to watch the show so we can hopefully see another season!

John Constantine, Hellblazer, is a working-class magician, occult detective and a golden-tongued con man. He is well-known for his scathing wit, endless cynicism, ruthless cunning and constant chain smoking. A roguish counterculture anti-hero, Constantine is also a strident humanist driven by a heartfelt desire to defend mankind from the forces of evil.

The show is better quality than Flash and Arrow yet those two are far more entertaining. It'd be sad if it got cancelled, but I wouldn't be devastated.

And yes, 13 episodes is better in this case tbh.

Gotham should be cancelled, not this.

can they really finish up the rising darkness and getting the girl back from hell in 8 more episodes?? i really hope so.

if they are planning on cancelling it at least tell them so they can give a satisfying ending. i personally am loving constantine and the rating are rising. they should give S2 a chance. just seems like wasted potential.

at least its not cancelling. i prefer 10 ep seasons anyway, less filler crap. doctor who and game of thrones do it. its just better to get the main arc instead of the first half of the season being nothing of importance.

Corrigan was supposed to become the Spectre and Doctor Fate was going to show up this season (Not just the helmet), so I hope that still happens. This is definitely a bummer though. Hopefully NBC's track record with Hannibal works out for this.

@ezio the higher ratings + being a CBTV should be enough to grant a renewal. It'll come.

Gotham has just fallen flat for me. The Penguin and Fish conflict is saving and ruining it for me. It's like AoS S1. I couldn't take any more. Though the funny thing is that the "this week's assignment" song and dance was tiring in AoS' case. Exact opposite with Gotham. Of course now I enjoy S2 and that's where you can argue to give Gotham time... But right now I'm still going to hold my ground because I can't rely on the wait and see approach. I was still chanting for AoS' cancellation earlier this year (before S1 ended). Don't think it'll change.

It seems like NBC really wanted the show to do bad. People in the key demographic are out doing things Friday's at 10. At least they could have scheduled it before Grimm and gotten more viewers instead of giving almost the worst possible time slot besides Saturday nights.

If the show moves to SyFy it will be the best thing on the channel. So hopefully that would help it get renewed. I have been enjoying the show and I only see it getting better.

I had a feeling that at least one of these comic-book shows will be canceled. Seems like this show might only make it to a second season.

All the CB shows been on a little struggle (quality wise) other than AoS, but for some reason Constantine falls into the boring category. I wont be missing this show.

Or what about the CW? Let's be honest, with those ratings CONSTANTINE would be one of their top hits.

But anybody who believes the "strong chance for renewal" lip from NBC, yeah right. I mean let's parse this news: "We had planned for 22 episodes but the early disappointing ratings, we won't put up the money for those last 9."

In short if the show' demos don't increase, its a floater after 13 episodes.

Its now on the hands of "Murican". I hope you the rating continue to grow.. we on other countries dont count on the rating game though we support it.
