While many of us may have gotten excited when we heard the news and/or announcements for Avengers: Age of Ultron, Superman/Batman: World's Finest, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, and X-Men: Days of Future Past, it doesn't seem like the rest of the world shared our sentiments...

The most talked about thing at Comic-Con was... wait for it...

THESE GUYS!

Post-Comic-Con, EW partnered with General Sentiment: Social Analytics to determine which panel proved to be the most popular during the course of Comic-Con. They developed their aggregate scores not only by what was trending on social media (Twitter, Facebook, etc.), but also by what was actually being said about those topics. According to their analysis, the most talked about subject on social media at Comic-Con wasn't superhero-related at all. As revealed above, it was CBS's How I Met Your Mother, which came to promote their ninth and final season as well as say farewell to their beloved fans.

The full Top 10 list is below:

While this is surprising news, it does make some sense. The reaction to HIMYM's panel was overwhelmingly positive and the show's more universal audience in addition to a bit of nostalgia may have led to its apparent Comic-Con domination.

What do you guys think?
