Are you an aspiring writer? If so, then you should take advantage of the knowledge base of our successful panellists. Writers, who have written for DC, Marvel, 2000AD and many leading independents, explain their methods for effective plot development and the processes and techniques behind writing comics.
12.45 – 13.30 DIGITAL VS. TRADITIONAL PUBLISHING
Can you get your small press comic out digitally and if so what are the benefits of this against a more traditional publishing model. Our panellists disseminate all the data and bring you their reason for and against the digital age of comics.
13.45 – 14.30 35 YEARS OF 2000AD
Covering 2000 AD as it celebrates its 35th birthday, the seminal British comic book looks back at some of its greatest covers with some of its greatest cover artists (Brian Bolland, Jock and Duncan Fegredo).
14.45 – 15.45 IDW: - THE YEAR AHEAD
Don’t fail to take this opportunity to hear from the horse’s mouth what IDW is planning over the coming year. The panellists (Tony Lee, Phil Jimenez and J.K. Woodward) will outline IDW’s plans for their existing publications and there may even be a major announcement or two!
16.00 – 16.45 STAN LEE PANEL: LIVING THE DREAM – FROM 1940 TO PRESENT DAY
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for U.K. fans to hear Stan Lee’s views on the comic business’s history and future. Stan Lee has been involved in the comic business since 1940. His first writing contribution was in Captain America Comics #3 in 1941 and he has since then been a driving force and spokesmen for Marvel and the comic industry generally. Having seen the good and bad swings in the comic market he will regale the audience with his reminiscences.
16.45 – 17.30: SUPER-HERO/SUPER-VILLAIN COSPLAY COMPETITION
Watch the cosplayers parade across the floor in their full regalia. They will enter the panel room where attendees will pick their favourite Super-Hero costume. Who will be the inaugural London Super Comic Convention Cosplay Winner?

Creating your product is only half the work it takes to succeed in the comics industry. What about the other half that we don't see as clearly after the product is released to the world? This panel will explore what it is like to be on the other side of the table, as a creator. Our panellists will discuss what it takes to exhibit at conventions, promote yourself and gain a loyal audience - from the point of view of professionals already behind the table.
13.00 – 13.45 THE DC 52: 6 MONTHS ON
It has been 6 months since the launch of the new DC 52. Our panellists will discuss their work on the DC 52, in particular the initial concepts behind their work, their reaction to public perception on the new books and how they see the DC 52 evolving. This is a great opportunity for attendees to interact with creators involved in such a substantial change to the DC Universe.
14.00 – 14.45 BATTLE OF THE ARTISTS
Three Marvel artists will sketch characters pitched from the audience. Compare the styles of each artist and vote for your favourite sketch.
