Micro-News: SDCC Edition
San Diego Comic-Con 2013 is in full swing and we've been treated to quite a number of interesting revelations concerning Strider Hiryu, X-Men, Hulk and Batman. Continue on to read whether these revelations concern film, television or video games.
The reveal of the Sentinels were pretty cool but savvy onlookers noted that the robots on display are from 50 years ago (Sentinel Mark I) and the film will likely have more advanced robotic giants terrorizing the mutant population. Nimrod anyone?
The trailer reveal for Copperhead in Batman: Arkham Origins was pretty cool but the Q&A portion of the panel is what has gamers buzzing. It seems that while Robin was confirmed to not appear in the game, the developers hinted very strongly that Batgirl would feature in an unspecified fashion in the game. Is that a cameo, Easter Egg, young Barbara Gordon? Anyone's guess at the moment. Geoff Johns also confirmed that there's a whole slew of DC Comics games coming down the pipeline and that they're not all necessarily Batman focused. Perhaps one is the rumored "Justice League" video game from RockSteady?
Continuing on the video game front, Capcom unveiled a new gameplay trailer for their "Strider" platform game that looks pretty awesome.
Remember that Hulk television show that Guillermo del Toro said Marvel Studios stopped calling him about? Well MTV asked head of Marvel Television Jeph Loeb about the project and he stated that it's officially...on pause. Sounds like the character proved so popular in The Avengers that it may have killed the planned television show. Maybe another Hulk movie will be announced at this year's Comic-Con?
