Michelle MacLaren’s COWBOY NINJA VIKING Starring Chris Pratt Has Been Delayed Indefinitely
Though the movie was expected to commence production next month, reports are coming in that Michelle MacLaren’s adaptation of Image Comics' Cowboy Ninja Viking has been removed from Universal's schedule...
Although we only recently brought you the news that Baywatch actress Priyanka Chopra was in talks for the female lead role in Cowboy Ninja Viking, reports are coming in that Universal has removed the Image Comics adaption from their 2019 release schedule.
Collider broke the news, which has since been confirmed by the trades.
The reason given for the film being indefinitely delayed is “to accommodate production scheduling,” but THR adds that there have been growing concerns over the script since March.
As things stand, Cowboy Ninja Viking has not been canned and may still get off the ground at some point. Michelle MacLaren remains on board as director, and Chris Pratt is still attached to the lead role of Duncan... for the time being, at least.
