TRANSFORMERS Spin-Off Scribe Christina Hodson Is Working On An Untitled DC Film, But Which One Is It?

Up-and-coming screenwriter Christina Hodson has really been a roll lately. Her film Shut In just opened in theaters today, she has another project, titled Unforgettable, lined up for next year, and she very recently cracked the script for Paramount Pictures' upcoming Transformers spin-off film, which will be centered on the fan-favorite Autobot Bumblebee. She's also been featured on The Black List three different times and already sold one of her specs, titled The Eden Project, to Sony & Material Pictures for a hefty sum.

As part of Deadline's lengthy report, which confirmed that Paramount was extremely bullish on Hodson's spin-off script and had plans to send it out to directors fairly soon, they went on to discuss her upcoming projects, which includes a reboot of The Fugitive, and slyly revealed that Hodson is also currently in the midst of penning the script for an untitled DC Film for Warner Bros. Pictures. Now, as for which film, that's yet-to-be determined.

Considering her track record of writing films with strong female leads, the most likely bet is the Harley Quinn & Birds of Prey-centric film, which last we heard had enlisted a mystery writer to work with Margot Robbie (Suicide Squad) on the script.

UPDATE: According to unconfirmed sources for The Wrap, it looks like Hodson is indeed writing the Harley Quinn/Birds of Prey spin-off film, which will feature Robbie in one of the lead roles.

So, what do you guys think? Sound off with your thoughts below!

I bet she will do good, considering her recent works have had positive receptions. One separate thing that I didn't like tho......

"upcoming Transformers spin-off film, which will be centered on the fan-favorite Autobot Bumblebee. "

@AsgardianHobo - Not to be one of those rotten tomatoes guys, but honestly its usually a good judge of quality, and her only movie currently has a 0% on rotten tomatoes.

WB seems to be taking a scorched earth approach with its DC properties now. Like we know we have popular characters due to other's good work with the characters, lets make shit and it'll still make money now until people eventually hate these characters, but that's in the future so who cares.

Wasn't there rumour of a Black Canary film at one point? Maybe not a solo, but i would love to see Laurel hit the big screen.

Idk which movies she's making, but expect she'll leave it over "creative differences".

This is no longer the DCEU (Damage Control Extended(Version)Universe) Now it is the CDEU (Creative Differences Extended Universe).

@Webheaded225 - well she will be only writing, not directing, most of the people that left the DC movies were directors

SHUT IN WAS [frick]ING AWFUL!!

I got to see it early cause of my internship and it was cliche as [frick]. Very reminiscent of The Babadook but not in a good way. Man was it bad. Just jump scare after jump scare and you become numb to it.

I'm being real, the script was bad. It tried to set up this mad predictable twist and it failed. NO BULLSHITTING, it was bad.
