If even half of the recent rumors relating to Marvel Studios' Deadpool threequel are on the level, the title character's MCU debut is shaping up to be a jam-packed adventure, with multiple Variants of both Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds) and Logan (Hugh Jackman) joining the fray.
Now, we have word on a possible appearance from yet another alternate reality version of the Merc With a Mouth.
According to scooper Daniel Richtman (via Patreon), the Wade Wilson of Earth-10330, Kidpool, will appear.
In the comics, Kidpool was a student of the Xavier Orphanage for Troubled Boys, and did not get along well with his fellow students, frequently finding himself in trouble with the staff. Wade was ultimately recruited into the Deadpool Corps by Deadpool of Earth-616 along with numerous other Variants.
Previous rumors have indicated that the likes of Dogpool and Lady Deadpool will also factor into the movie, so we wouldn't be surprised if our Wade set about putting a version of the Corps together in an effort to save the Multiverse.
Morena Baccarin (Vanessa), Karan Soni (Dopinder), Leslie Uggams (Blind Al), Rob Delaney (Peter), Brianna Hildebrand (Negasonic Teenage Warhead) And Shioli Kutsuna (Yukio) will all return as their respective characters, and they'll be joined by franchise newcomers Emma Corrin (The Crown) and Matthew Macfadyen (Succession), whose roles are still under wraps.
We recently learned that Jennifer Garner will return as Elektra.
Plot details also remain a mystery for now, but Wade and Wolvie are expected to find themselves (trapped?) in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. A recent report claimed that Loki's TVA, including Agent Mobius (Owen Wilson) and Miss Minutes, will be involved. We have also been led to believe that Wade's MCU debut will be far more integral to Phase 5 and beyond than we first realized.
Shawn Levy is directing Deadpool 3, which is set to hit theaters on September 6, 2024.
