Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, Deadpool tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.

Deadpool is directed by Tim Miller, and stars Ryan Reynolds (Wade Wilson), Morena Baccarin (Vanessa Carlysle), T.J. Miller (Weasel), with Ed Skrein, and Brianna Hildebrand (Ellie Phimister). The movie is scheduled to hit theaters on February 12, 2016.

Is it just me or is Ryan Reynolds about to become the most beloved actor to play a comic book character with how well they have been showcasing Deadpool in the promo photos and the Lopez video?

I mean it's just odd considering how Ryan has done 3 shitty comic book films and this film he's in looks so perfect.

Reynolds has done 4 CBMs.

Green Lantern - he was a decent Hal, and the 2nd best part of the film behind Mark Strong

Blade: Trinity - I actually love the movie, and he was awesome in it

Origins - He was perfect as Wade Wilson

RIPD - He was great, Kevin Bacon was great, Jeff Bridges was great, Mary-Louise Parker was sexy as always, and it wasn't a completely awful movie

Reynolds just needs a new agent. Or he needs to read the scripts more thoroughly before he accepts a role.

Plus, he's a phenomenal actor. Buried is one of my favourite films.

I am digging how Reynolds is embracing this role, being a one-man marketing machine. And so far the humor has been there, looking forward to a Fox CBM feels wierd, since I so very rarely feel it.

I believe Chris Evans holds the record for the most different roles in CBMs. Idris Elba and Jeffrey Dean Morgan have done multiples as well, along with Halle Berry, Jessica Alba, Mickey Rourke...
