I like that gritty metal texture they used but wasn't impressed with his movement. Way better looking than the T-1000 look.

INCREDIBLE! Deadpool was amazing and I'm still blown away by the fact that it had a budget of $ 58 million. For a budget like that, the effects are more than phenomenal and they look much better than the ones from some big budget movies.

Videos private.... Have to say it's crazy that it took 15 years to just get colossus right. This is the best Xmen movie made. They got so much right in this small budget than any other Xmen movie before it. It's just might boggling. I really wished they would let is team take over the X franchise and start showing the characters the way we want to see them. Colossus was seriously perfect.

@micvalpro - Totally agree! Loved to see that the X-Men can be done right (at least one of them) visually no matter who "owns" them. Can't wait til Singer is gone and we can get REAL X-Men movies. Fingers crossed for Wolverine now that he got the go on a "R" rating!

It was all very well done considering the budget constraints. The vfx team should be quite proud.

I really just want an x men movie in this era, [frick] whatever Bryan Singer is trying to do. Colossus was [frick]ing badass, im in love with negasonic teenage warhead, and her costume was life!

Millerverse.

I've suspected for a while that good comicbook movies with a more modest budget could be a way to fill out the year's calendar outside of the 200 million dollar tentpoles. Characters like Black Widow and Moon Knight who would have smaller-scale character-driven stories.

I hadn't really thought about an R rating in that context, but Deadpool does prove that good, modest films can be immensely profitable and well outside of "peak movie season". While I love Daredevil and Jessica Jones' shows, I think I would have preferred to see the Netflix stuff each get a 50M budget movie with the potential for an R rating (relatively soft R, but still an R). If just one of them had a response like Deadpool, it likely would have paid for itself.

I'm sure Hollywood executives are getting a lot of bad ideas from Deadpool, but I hope that Fox, WB, and Marvel are getting good ones. The over-reliance on spectacle and collateral destruction instead of character, story, and passion are the only real problems I have with the genre really. Deadpool had some spectacle, but people aren't coming out to see yet another aircraft carrier fall over.

I swear Reynolds aged over night due to stressing about this movie. I loved the film. Saw it twice! Both times the theatre clapped at the end. Crazy how the studio strapped this team down and forced them to do this with hands behind their back money wise. Glad it worked at. Can't wait for the blu Ray and announcements about the sequel!

I thought colossus was awesome...then a problem hit me; isn't the general audience going to be confused on who Cable is and whether or not he's just a colossus reboot?
