Ryan Reynolds Fails To Channel His Inner Wade Wilson While Playing DEADPOOL: THE VIDEO GAME
Deadpool: The Video Game may not be the best video game ever made, but watching actor Ryan Reynolds attempt to play it while discussing Deadpool 2 is a delight as he has trouble with jumping up a wall...
Deadpool 2 will finally hit theaters this week, Ryan Reynolds is promoting his upcoming movie wherever he can. He just finished the promotional tour in Europe with Josh Brolin, who's playing not only Thanos in Marvel Studios' juggernaut
Avengers: Infinity War, but also mutant Cable in David Leitch's latest movie. Reynolds recently sat down with YouTube creator Jacksepticeye.
Jacksepticeye's real name is Seán William McLoughlin and thanks to his new interview, Reynolds has finally been introduced to the
Deadpool video game. “
I’ve played Deadpool, but I haven’t played Deadpool,” the actor jokingly explained. He may be capable of poking fun at the $53 billion Disney-Fox merger, but it looks like jumping up a wall as the video game version of Wade Wilson is not an easy task. Reynolds later admitted that he hadn’t played a video game since the first
Castlevania (which was released in 1986).
Deadpool: The Video Game launched in 2013 with a $100 million budget, making it one of the most expensive video games ever developed. Despite being written by former Deadpool comic creator Daniel Way, critics were largely lukewarm on the game. The enormous budget and potential sadly didn't translate into a great product, but watching Reynolds trying to play it is still great fun.
After surviving a near fatal bovine attack, a disfigured cafeteria chef (Wade Wilson) struggles to fulfill his dream of becoming Mayberry's hottest bartender while also learning to cope with his lost sense of taste. Searching to regain his spice for life, as well as a flux capacitor, Wade must battle ninjas, the yakuza, and a pack of sexually aggressive canines, as he journeys around the world to discover the importance of family, friendship, and flavor - finding a new taste for adventure and earning the coveted coffee mug title of World's Best Lover.
Deadpool 2 will be released on May 18, 2018.
