CRUELLA: A New Look At Emma Stone As The Classic Disney Villain Has Been Revealed

Thanks to some new set photos, we have a fresh look at Emma Stone (The Amazing Spider-Man) as Cruella de Vil. However, it appears as if she's still in her pre-villain persona at this point in the movie...

Cruella isn't set to be released until May 2021, but the movie is currently shooting in the UK and now some new set photos reveal what is presumably a first look at Emma Stone's villain before she becomes the classic baddie you see in the officially released promo shot above!

We don't really know much about the film beyond the fact that it puts the spotlight on 101 Dalmations' Cruella de Vil. Given the way Maleficent has turned that character into an anti-hero of sorts, it remains to be seen whether the same will be said for this version of Cruella.

Directed by Craig Gillespie from a script by Aline Brosh McKenna, Jez Butterworth, Dana Fox, Kelly Marcel, Tony McNamara, and Steve Zissis, Emma Stone plays the titular villainess, while Emma Thompson, Paul Walter Hauser, Joel Fry, and Mark Strong are all also set to appear.

is this gonna be another 'sympathy for the villain' story like they did with maleficent? if so, not interested.

Of all the villains they could make a movie about, Cruella's the worst idea imo. I mean, she wants to kill puppies. Puppies! That's not a villain I want to see redeemed

@Polaris -

Best ending to this movie: Scrappy Doo appears and gives Cruella the two piece

Emma Stone is great, but it's gonna be hard following up Glenn Close.

As much as I like the idea of Emma Stone in dominatrix gear, I'm gonna pass.

Something does come to mind, actually a lot, but I'm sure this room is too PC for those. She's surely against anything doggy related.

Imagine a movie about how Captain Hook made his way to Neverland and what he did before meeting Peter. Would be infinitely more interesting.

@Kevwebsz - Now THAT I want to see! I ALWAYS wondered how he and his crew got there and ended up being the only adults there.

@TRexx21 - Another piece of Peter Pan I noticed that never gets shown is the cannibals on the island.

Maleficent 2 was a step down, but a good deal of the remakes have fleshed out and improved on the originals. And I’ve never once heard anyone say that Emma Stone can’t act...until this idiotic thread: bleat bleat, the remakes are terrible bleat ... they aren’t necessary...bleat bleat... why do we need them? bleat bleat, cash cow... bleat bleat bleat.

@Lostcause - But the thing is, we've already had TWO live-action 101 Dalmatian movies even before this cash-grab fad for live-action retellings. So this is like...triple unnecessary.
