Emma Watson In Talks For Lead Role In Disney And Kenneth Branagh's CINDERELLA
The Harry Potter and The Perks of Being A Wallflower star is said to be in early talks with Disney to play Cinderella in Kenneth Branagh's live action remake of the classic fairy tale of the same name.
Variety has revealed that Disney are hoping to slip the glass slipper onto Emma Watson for their remake of Cinderella. Cate Blanchett has been attached to play the wicked stepmother for a while now, although the film recently gained a new director in the form of THOR's Kenneth Branagh after creative differences led to Mark Romanek departing the project. She has yet to read the script and scheduling issue may prove to be a problem, but the British actress who found fame in the Harry Potter franchise is their favourite. The studio have also considered Gabriella Wilde (The Three Musketeers), Imogen Poots (Need for Speed) and Alicia Vikander (Anna Karenina).
