The world premiere for Disney/Pixar's Toy Story 4 took place last Tuesday, & since then, critics have taken to the internet to post their thoughts about the highly anticipated sequel. With only a week left until it hits theatres, will any of these critics' opinions change your mind?
Well, judging by their high praise all-around, it'd be crazy if you weren't convinced, as Pixar once again knocks it out of the park with their flagship franchise!
With 90 reviews & counting, the movie currently sits at a
100% Certified Fresh rating on
Rotten Tomatoes.
According to the critic consensus, it's
"Heartwarming, funny, and beautifully animated, Toy Story 4 manages the unlikely feat of extending -- and perhaps concluding -- a practically perfect animated saga."
This is definitely glorious to see, as the movie keeps up the tradition of having pretty-much perfect scores, with only Toy Story 3 having a 98% (Thanks to troll critics...). Also, it seems to just be a worthy successor all-around, with many pointing it out to be the funniest of the quadrilogy, while also still hitting on those strong themes & scenes of emotional gut-punches that the series is known for.

Woody (voice of Tom Hanks) has always been confident about his place in the world, and that his priority is taking care of his kid, whether that's Andy or Bonnie. So when Bonnie's beloved new craft-project-turned-toy, Forky (voice of Tony Hale), declares himself as "trash" and not a toy, Woody takes it upon himself to show Forky why he should embrace being a toy. But when Bonnie takes the whole gang on her family's road trip excursion, Woody ends up on an unexpected detour that includes a reunion with his long-lost friend Bo Peep (voice of Annie Potts). After years of being on her own, Bo's adventurous spirit and life on the road belie her delicate porcelain exterior. As Woody and Bo realize they're worlds apart when it comes to life as a toy, they soon come to find that's the least of their worries.
Does this ease your worries? Will you be seeing Toy Story 4 next Friday?
