If you managed to stay awake through the snoozefest that was Super Bowl LIII, then you were treated to a brand new clip from Disney Pixar's
Toy Story 4.
The 30-second spot takes us to a carnival where Woody and Bo Peep are awaiting Buzz Lightyear's arrival. But as we soon find out, Buzz got held up elsewhere. We won't spoil anything because the clip is actually pretty funny, so give it a watch it below.
For those of you who haven't been keeping up with the
Toy Story 4 teasers, those two stuffed carnival toys are Ducky and Bunny, voiced by Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele, respectively. This isn't the first run in they've had with Buzz as the two were featured in
an earlier teaser where they made fun of his signature phrase, "To infinity and beyond."
Here's some previously released background info that explains the whole carnival situation.
“Woody’s journey in Toy Story 4 includes a visit to a carnival where he meets Ducky and Bunny, two carnival prizes who are eager to be won. But when their plans are rudely interrupted by Woody and his friends, they find themselves on an unexpected adventure with a group of toys who have no idea what it feels like to be tacked to a prize wall.”
Woody has always been confident about his place in the world and that his priority is taking care of his kid, whether that’s Andy or Bonnie. But when Bonnie adds a reluctant new toy called “Forky” to her room, a road trip adventure alongside old and new friends will show Woody how big the world can be for a toy.
Toy Story 4 opens theaters June 21, 2019.
