Pixar is ramping up the marketing on
Toy Story 4, releasing four new TV spots that highlight the upcoming adventure and remind us of the film's release later this month.
While the clips are mostly comprised of repurposed footage that we've seen in previous trailers and clips, there are some new moments spliced in between. In any case, they provide a pretty good sense of what to expect when
Toy Story 4 arrives in theaters. There seems to be a nice balance of humor and emotion, and you can bet there will probably come a point in the film where you'll need to bust out the tissues. As both Tom Hanks (Woody) and
Tim Allen (Buzz Lightyear) have teased,
Toy Story 4 will tug at the heartstrings.
In addition to the TV spots, Pixar also released an extended clip from the film's carnival scene in which Buzz finds himself stuck on the prize wall of a game. It's here where he meets newcomers Ducky and Bunny, two stuffed animals (voiced by voiced by Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele, respectively) who don't take kindly to his showing up and taking their top prize spot.
Woody has always been confident about his place in the world and that his priority is taking care of his kid, whether that’s Andy or Bonnie. But when Bonnie adds a reluctant new toy called “Forky” to her room, a road trip adventure alongside old and new friends will show Woody how big the world can be for a toy.
Toy Story 4 arrives in theaters on June 21.
