DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS Star Elizabeth Olsen Responds To SCARLET WITCH Movie Rumors

With rumours swirling that we're getting a Scarlet Witch show or movie, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness star Elizabeth Olsen has weighed in with what, if anything, she knows about the project.

WandaVision put the spotlight on Wanda Maximoff, revealing her as the MCU's Scarlet Witch while exploring the hero's grief following The Vision's death in Avengers: Infinity War

Of course, Wanda would face another blow when the fantasy world she'd created in Westview fell apart and left her with no other choice than to lose The Vision again...along with her children, Tommy and Billy. This pushed the Scarlet Witch down a villainous route in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, leading to her murdering The Illuminati and countless others in Kamar-Taj.

A lot of fans were upset with the Avenger being taken down this path, and the fact that she seemingly sacrificed herself to destroy every copy of the Darkhold across the Multiverse did little to help matters. We saw a flash of red light before the castle collapsed, however, likely meaning Wanda teleported herself to safety and is still alive.

Over the past few weeks, there have been rumblings of a solo outing for the Scarlet Witch. Some believe it will be a Disney+ series, while others are convinced it's heading down the movie route. It's also possible she'll return in Agatha: House of Harkness

Asked about these reports in the video below, Elizabeth Olsen responded, "I would love to be a part of both of those. No one tells me anything, and I'm not even hiding a secret because I'm bad at that. I know nothing about my future."

We're optimistic that the Scarlet Witch's story will continue in some form, though when and where that might be is as big a mystery to us as it appears to be for Olsen.
