DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS Stunt Video Shows Balder The Brave Among Wanda's Victims

A newly surfaced stunt video for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has confirmed that Balder the Brave's battle with the Scarlet Witch was indeed shot, and you can get a glimpse at him here!

At this point, it's really no secret that Marvel Studios planned to include Balder the Brave (Thor's brother in the comic books) in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

Initial reports suggested Bruce Campbell would play the Asgardian, though it's still unclear whether he actually shot any of those scenes before being cut. Since then, it's been revealed that No Time to Die star Daniel Craig was actually eyed to play Balder, with concept art even showing what the former James Bond would have looked like as The Illuminati member.

The actor has played coy about the cameo, but as with many other characters in this team, it's thought stand-ins were used during shooting. That's why we remain convinced there's footage somewhere in the bowels of Marvel Studios with Sir Patrick Stewart's Professor X interacting with a stand-in for Michael Fassbender's Magneto!

Regardless, a new stunt video has revealed some never-before-seen behind-the-scenes footage from the Doctor Strange sequel, and that sure looks like Balder lying dead on the floor.

What little we see appears to confirm rumours the Scarlet Witch was set to use the Asgardian's sword to kill him, though the downed performer decked out in the armour is more than likely a stand-in or stuntman, and not whoever Sam Raimi planned to cast as the hero.

We still don't have a definitive answer about why the this cameo was cut, but believe he was replaced during reshoots by Mister Fantastic and/or Black Bolt.

When it comes to Balder's MCU future, he could still make his presence felt somewhere down the line. Whether that's with Craig or another actor is tough to predict, but he'd be an interesting new addition to this shared world, that's for sure. Perhaps the plan is for Thor's brother to show up in one of the upcoming Avengers movies?

Take a look at Balder below, and keep checking back here for Doctor Strange updates!

The wasted potential in this movie. At least Olsen was good

Having a movie called multiverse of Madness sets a bar that this movie just didn’t come close to reaching

@Twenty23Three - especially when no way home established what an mcu multiverse story can be.

@Origame - well, wasn’t a huge fan of that film but yes. It had more multiverse madness

I felt the fight between Ultron-Vison and The Watcher was the type of ambition that this movie should've had.

The movie was just...ok. The cameos are what makes it; other than that and the opening Gargantos then there's really no reason to watch this film again.

The script was an abomination, I physically cringed at some of the lines in that movie.

The performances (especially Olsen) and Rami's directing was what made the movie for me.

@FilmGuy7878 - What script?
And yeah, Raimi made this movie at least watchable...except for the third act when it becomes your standard MCU's third act (with the exception of some crazy stuff with Zombie Strange, which was, again, all Raimi's)

@TheHumanSpider2 - The typical MCU third act, oh I hate them. It ruined Shang-Chi, Black Panther, and several other movies.

Seriously, Marvel needs to get more creative and ballsy with their fight scenes instead of just CG piss painted on a green screen. Like seriously, ADD SOME BLOOD, ACTUAL FIGHT CHOROGRAPHY, make real action scenes like the old days.

@FilmGuy7878 - remember, according to this movie its unfair dr strange is called a hero for saving the universe with a risky plan, while she's considered a villain for using her powers to trap a town, murder people, kidnap a woman's kids, and threaten all of reality in the process.

@FilmGuy7878 - Pretty much.
The "musical battle" between the Stranges, if longer, should have been the third act, but nope, they wanted the same old.

@TheHumanSpider2 - Totally agree. The music battle was exactly what Marvel needs to do more of.

Glad they got rid of that… Why is it that asguardians get killed off more than any other species in the mcu? Well besides Gamora’s species.

People wanted this film to change their lives. All the BS rumors left people disappointed
