We're getting closer to the release of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and a new theater standee for the movie based on that latest poster has now been spotted.
Is anything new revealed? Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be any further teases for the Variants rumoured to appear in the blockbuster (Captain Carter's shield was spotted on the poster shared online), though the Doctor Strange Variants remain front and centre. So far, we have Defender Strange and what appears to be Doctor Strange Supreme from that standout episode of What If...?
Elsewhere, there's a cool shot of Gargantos' eye, the Darkhold, and a lot of Scarlet Witch. While Wanda Maximoff is thought to be an ally to Strange in this movie, many fans are convinced she is, in fact, the villain. After all, that Big Game TV spot did show the Avenger bathed in someone's blood...
In Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, the MCU unlocks the Multiverse and pushes its boundaries further than ever before. We'll journey into the unknown with Doctor Strange, who, with the help of mystical allies both old and new, traverses the mind-bending and dangerous alternate realities of the Multiverse to confront a mysterious new adversary.
The movie's cast includes Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Elizabeth Olsen, Benedict Wong, Xochitl Gomez, Michael Stühlbarg, and Rachel McAdams. The film is directed by Sam Raimi, and Kevin Feige is the producer. Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Eric Hauserman Carroll and Jamie Christopher serve as executive producers. The screenplay was written by Michael Waldron.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is set to be released on May 6.
