The Scarlet Witch broke bad in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, unleashing chaos across every reality. By the time all was said and done, Wanda Maximoff found a small measure of redemption when she destroyed the Darkhold moments before seemingly being buried alive.
Eagle-eyed fans noticed a flash of red before that happened, suggesting the former Avenger may have escaped. Now, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has all but confirmed that we'll see the Scarlet Witch again.
"She’s incredibly humble and incredibly down-to-earth," he says of actress Elizabeth Olsen in an interview with Variety. "And yet when those cameras roll, it’s a force of nature. There really is so much more to explore. We still haven’t touched on many of her core storylines from the comics."
While he didn't name any specific storylines, we have to believe House of M and Avengers: The Children's Crusade are on the executive's mind. Feige would go on to say, "I don’t know that we saw her under rubble? I saw a tower coming down, and a little red flash. I don’t know what that means. I’d work with Lizzie for another 100 years if we could."
"Anything’s possible in the multiverse! We’ll have to see."
As far as Olsen is concerned, however, she remains in the dark. Saying she'd like see "some sort of redemption" for Wanda after what happened in the Doctor Strange sequel, the actress added, "I really don’t know my future. There’s nothing that has been agreed on."
There have been rumblings about a Scarlet Witch TV series on Disney+, while Agatha: Coven of Chaos is a logical place for the character to appear as well. We also have to believe there's a place for the hero in upcoming movies like Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars.
