2012 CBM FightClub MONDAY SUPERBATTLE CCC (300)

Okay rightfully so a lot of people are upset with the results of this fight Batman versus Thor, but I'm going to go right to the source. There is no reason why these two should be matched up against each other at all.

It's these kinds of mismatches that cause trouble and water down the whole concept. The person in charge fails miserably with this and other ridiculous match ups. Rules obviously need to be drawn up and followed keeping matches even an effective and most of all realistic.

These kind of fights are so mismatched that they cause fans of either recipient to pushback and make a ridiculous vote just to support their favorite. During the summer I had the witness a pissing contest between fans of the avengers movie and Batman fans. Worse what followed was the righteous drivel this website editorialize about getting along. Then we get stupid match ups like this that in my eyes just puts more gasoline on the fire.

There are plenty of characters in both universes that would make good even match ups that would stimulate imaginations. For once this website should practice what it preaches. You deserve a red thumb up the ass instead of a thumb's up.

Take a little pride start putting some thought into these match ups or just drop the whole concept altogether. It's senseless to have to be rate Batman fans all the time, so do us all a favor and stop instigating this crap.

Kroenen vs Spider-Man -- the Kroenen from the comics is nothing like the one from the movies. Spidey's slap him down without half-trying.

Colossus vs Deathstroke: with no prep time, Colossus takes DS apart.

Batman vs Thor: Bitch, please. All the prep time in the world isn't going to help Batman against a [frick]ing God. To think otherwise is beyond ridiculous, bordering on pathologic.

Although it pains me to vote against my favorites...today I have no choice...In every match I like the DC character more but know they'd get their asses handed to them...Green Lantern: Hal Jordan for the battle...

Storm Vs Fire

^^^ A solid idea, but I we will never get a truly objective outcome from votes so long as there's even one member voting by favoritism. We can scream and shout THIS IS NOT A POPULARITY CONTEST until our collective faces are blue, and that will only make some prick vote by favoritism just out of spite.

I've suggested before that we get rid of guys like Wolverine, Batman, Punisher and Deadpool because fanboys are slavishly loyal to them and 9 times out of 10 will refuse to vote against them -- again, guaranteeing that there will never be a logical, objective outcome.

I've suggested we broaden the contestant base by not sticking only with comic characters who've appeared in live adaptations, but that, too, fell on deaf ears. How great would it be to see characters like Savage Dragon, Grendel, Blue Devil, Molecule Man, Brimstone (DC), or Iron Fist in these fights? How cool would it be to pit a Celestial against the In-Betweener? Or The Deadly Duo vs Hawk and Dove? But these characters have never appeared in a live film or tv adaptation, so, so much for that.

I give Witness mondo props for all the work he puts into Fight Club, and I do so regularly. But the limited number of fighters is what keeps these things going around and around in circles. If it were to open up to include ALL comic characters, that would be the [frick]ing business. And we'd have less silliness like Yoda vs The Hulk. Leave movie characters in the movies, and bring in more comic characters.
