I think OFster was a good choice, he is a great actor. It is the way the character was written that was wrong, any actor doing it that way would have done it poorly.

I think that Angel is the pinnacle of how much Ratner [frick]ed up X3. I see the influence of the cartoon, but for him to say that he copied the cartoon(which is not the same as the comics) in Angel's case is just ignorant.

All the characters were messed up in one way or another but yes an emo Angel was the straw that broke the camels back. There is a way to revive this series they just need to come up with a way to undo everything.

When I first heard about an X-Men movie I was excited but saw several problems with it when I first saw it. Like how Rogue became an X-Man, the initial line up of the team, Bobby's age, Wolverine not knowing Sabertooth, and Pyro being referred to as Johnny, it's St. John Allerdyce Johnny is and always will be the Human Torch to me and he never went to Xavier's School.
The second one just continued with the mistakes, though not as many that I could notice- Deathstrike not being a cyborg, Rogue and Bobby dating, Stryker being the one responsible for Wolvie's skeleton, and well pretty much the whole thing being titled X-Men 2 but seeming to be more like a Wolverine movie was just wrong.
Finaly X3 was just over the top on screw ups- Jean killing Scott and the professor (she never did that in comics or cartoons), Psylocke apparently having some kind of camaflouge power and being some punk instead of a kick ass ninja assassin with a psyhic blade, Juggernaut apparently being a mutant (which he is in the Ultimate universe but that's beside the point), Angel beeing a weak and shy character, The cure being developed by Warren's dad, Dark Phoenix being part of the Brotherhood, the Bobby/Kitty/Rogue love triangle, and many many more things that were just way off from even the cartoons.

Well.....I loved all the x men movies!! and I would love to see a lot more of them.
Yeah... when i was young(jesus I really sound like my dad) I read all the comic books of the x-men, hulk, fantastic four and spiderman!
yeah you're right, they don't stick to the story-lines!
And I really don't give a sh#t!!

You really can't expect that they make a couple of thousand movies to please all comic-fans(thousand's of movies....that would be great).

they try to reach as much as people as possible, to get as much money as the can, so that they can make some more movies! and that's fine by me!

Yeah I also expected some more of some movies, but I'm glad that I could see ALL of them!!

Oh , I forgot on thing..... A story about a shy-guy with wings, with no powers and looks like he is on an annorexia diet...... Is just as boring as watching the pigeons shit on the trees!

Um, ANGEL was one of the good things in X3, pity he wasxn't in X1 same goes for BEAST!!!

X-MEN: FIRST CLASS = REBOOT! We want the original team, not 90210 crap! ; D

Im a big fan of Ben Foster (he was especially good in 30 Days of Night and 3:10 To Yuma) but his talents were wasted on Angel (though Id be happy to see him return in the role) I think that he would make a much better Electro! :)

angel could have not been in X3 at all and it wouldn't have changed a SINGLE thing. he was pointless. also, he's got more than just wings, he's got hollow bones that make him lighter and a healing factor. other than that, angel sucks, archangel was way better!

I agree with Joshw24. Ben Foster is a great actor. Did you happen to see him in Alpha Dog as Jake Mazursky. Great performance. He really showed how intense and violent he can be. I can picture Ben as Electro. Actually I don't think there would be anyone better for the role. I can't wait for Pandorum to come out. It looks a little like this indie film I saw called Eden Log, great film.
