With the Dark Knight Rises in cinemas worldwide, all we've got to look forward to now is Warner's eventual reboot. With this in mind I thought id have a go at casting who id like to see in the new franchise
The Good Guys
Batman/Bruce Wayne: Joe Manganiello

I have gone for an older Bruce Wayne again because it would be needed to have Knightwing, Red Robin make sense as former recruits and also for his son Damian to exist Bruce would need to be about forty. Manganiello has appeared as many fans choice for a Bruce Wayne and though originally I wasnt on board he has really grown on me. He has the size and look to be a great Batman.
Alfred Pennyworth: Ian Mckellan

With the perfect look, acting ability and wit I think Mckellan would be a great choice for this role
Dick Grayson/Nightwing : Milo Ventimiglia

Ventimiglia was great in Heroes and I would love to see him play Batmans first pupil on the big screen.
Tim Drake/Red Robin : Thomas Dekker

Another choice from 'Heroes' Dekker has the acting ability and in my opinion the look to be a great Tim Drake.
Damien Wayne/Robin : Slade Pearce

A relative unknown is probably best for this role and so Ive chosen Slade Pearce,(House MD) as he has a look I think will work
James Gordon/Commissioner Gordon : Tom Selleck

The Joker: Robert Knepper

I loved the first two seasons of Prison break (the less said about the last two the better) and Knepper delivered standout perfromances throughout as the psychopathic killer Teabag. I think he would be brilliant in this role.
Edward Nigma/The Riddler: Crispin Glover

Id love the Riddler to be handled in an almost 'Saw'-like way with the brain teasing villain always wanting to 'play a game'. Glover has the look and quiet intensity that could do the Riddler justice.
Harvey Dent/Two-Face: Adrian Pasdar

Yet another 'Heroes' choice I think Pasdar would be great in this role and as those of you who've seen Heroes know he's already sort of played this role.
Ra's al Ghul: Ian McShane

Talia al Ghul: Kate Beckinsdale

Again i've gone for an older casting choice for this role to match Batman's age and to make it believable that she has a son with the caped crusader. Beckinsdale would be a great choice for this role as she has the kick-assedness to portray the physical aspect of Talia.
Thomas Elliot/Hush: John Hamm

Though many would like to see Hamm don the caped crusaders cowl, I personally love the idea of him in the role of Elliot.

This was a role I had initially cast Zachary Quinto in but upon more thought I realised there was really only one person I could chose. You only need to look at his performances in Watchmen and Shutter Island to know he would work great as Zsasz.
Arnold Wesker/The Ventriloquist : John Lithgow

An underated villain in my opinion, the Ventriloquist would work great on the big screen and John Lithgow would really own the role.
Conclusion:
Though there are many, many villains and other characters in the Batman universe I refrained from casting more as it really could have gone on all day. I hope you enjoyed my effort here and if you think i've done anybody an injustice in my casting, I apologize.
