RECAP: Bruce has just spent the past 5 years hiding, and now, has come back to Gotham, only to find out, that his nemesis The Joker has overridden the streets with drugs, cannibalism, and pure terror. And Batman knows, it's time for him and Joker, to both go down....
-SHOT OF AN ELDERLY MAN, IN HIS 80'S, ESCORTING THE FINE PEOPLE OF GOTHAM OUT OF WAYNE MANOR, SMILING WHILE HE DOES IT. AND ANOTHER MAN, BUT YOUNGER, IN HIS LATE 40'S, WALKING TO THE ELDERLY MAN.
-"Alfred, we need to escort the people out quickly, I just found out that Joker's kidnapped the mayor's child, we don't want to create panic." "Right away, Master Wayne."
-BRUCE WALKED UP THE STAIRS, AND INTO A LONG HALLWAY, PLAYING A COUPLE OF NOTES ON A PIANO, REVEALING A HIDDEN DOOR, BRUCE STEPS INSIDE IT, AND ENTERS THE ELEVATOR, TAKING HIM TO THE BATCAVE.
-CUTS TO ANOTHER MAN, IN AN ALLEY, WITH CUTS ON HIS FACE, AND ALSO WEARING WAR PAINT MAKE UP, THE MAN'S NAME IS THE JOKER, "Listen kiddo, here's how it's gonna work out, you stay in there, while I go to the Gotham carnival, and create chaos there, and while everybody is out in panic, you and I are gonna have fun, with my new friend, Jack the knife."
-THE JOKER CUTS THE CHILD A LITTLE ON THE CHEEK, SMILING, WHILE THE KID IS CRYING IN PAIN, BECAUSE NOT ONLY DID HE LOSE BOTH HIS PARENTS, BUT HE KNOWS HE IS GOING TO DIE. IT THEN CUTS TO BRUCE AND ALFRED TALKING IN THE CAVE, JUST BEFORE HE IS ABOUT TO GO OUT.
-"I assume, as you take on the symbol of Batman again, master Wayne, it will bring back pain, and suffering as well. I can't let you do this to yourself." "Alfred, I have no other choice, the crime rate is going worse in the streets, alright? I mean, Vicki moved away, Talia is dead, and all the Robins and Batgirls just disappeared, except for Tim and Barbera, they fought for what they stood for, even when they got killed, Barbera though, she lost to cancer.
