For starters I think that Christian Bale WILL be involved in the Justice League movie scheduled for July 2014. I also think that because Nolan allowed his Batman and Superman characters to cross over, that he would want input in how they are represented and Warner Bros. would love to get him on board as at least Exec. Producer much like his role on The Man of Steel. Here is my prediction for how the Justice League will line up in 2014:
Superman (Kal-El / Clark Kent) Scott Porter
Batman (Bruce Wayne) Christian Bale
Green Lantern (Hal Jordan) Ryan Reynolds
Wonder Woman (Princess Diana) Jessica Biel
Flash (Barry Allen) Chris Pine
Martian Manhunter (J'onn J'onzz / John Jones) Djimon Honsou
Aquaman (Orin / Arthur Curry) Garrett Hedlund
Scott Porter is who I have heard is WB and Nolan's target man for Superman from someone I know within Warner Bros. Bale and Reynolds already own those roles. Wonder, Flash and Martian Manhunter need a big name to carry the role. Biel will be an even bigger name by 2014 and will take that role well, Chris Pine would be an amazing Flash and Djimon Honsou would make an intriging Martian. Aquaman has been mocked too many times on Family Guy and needs a young actor to make the role have some appeal and should focus on a younger Arthur Curry.
Now onto the main focus of the article. What IF Nolan, Bale, Caine etc don't follow DC's path of a shared universe. Well here is a cast I believe would fit.
Bruce Wayne / Batman: Matt Bomer
Alfred Pennyworth: Ian McKellen
James Gordon: Chris Cooper
Lucius Fox: Laurence Fishbourne
Let's hope that with the reported $300 million budget that Justice League will get will be enough for Bale and Nolan to get some involvement.
